A good review in general, but I was confused on a couple things. Not sure what the presenter is talking about around the 2:10 mark. I don't think anyone is skinning uphill with the buckle fully closed...so that wouldn't be an issue for anyone. All you have to do is release the buckle, you don't have to adjust the velcro at all. Also, as you mentioned, the (removable) power strap is not needed at all, and removing it saves 30g per boot. I'm not sure why the presenter was questioning the ability of the boot to ski widths over 95mm, I comfortably ski this boot on a 107 Backland, I have never felt any issues driving the ski. However, I normally I pair it with my Dynafit Blacklight 80mm ski. I don't think the presenter shed enough light on how amazing this boot is. The performance you get for the weight is virtually unmatched. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Do we know yet how the fiberglass grilamid of the XT and GT will punch relative to the LT's Carbon Grilamid?

The fiberglass grilamid will definitely punch better than the LT! It might not be as receptive as a full grilamid boot but you should still have a good bit of customization.

I ski the Maestrales now, this boot likes it has much lower volume. I have a high arch foot, any thoughts on whether I would be wasting my time trying these on?

Thanks to the boa system the F1 LT has a bit more room than you would think. It's a medium fit through the instep but does narrow down a bit good bit through the last. It's worth trying on but could definitely feel tight. In the sub-1000 gram boot category, the Dynafit TLTX will be a bit roomier than the F1.

@@cripplecreekbackcountry6800 Thanks Doug! I’ve tried various Dynafit boots in the past, they are just not a good fit (volume) for my feet. Guess I will just keep waiting for a high volume, wide last sub 1000 gram boot. Meanwhile I’ll keep enjoying my Maestrales.

@@PaulBeiser Dynafit has updated their fit a good bit in their newest iteration of boots so it may still be worth a shot. One other potential option is a Backland Carbon. It's a pretty narrow boot, but you can do the memory fit process and actually heat the entire boot and mold the shell to your foot. It generally works well for a large range of foot shapes.
