Savannah Cat: "Is this an all-you-can-eat buffet?"
@sunnydays96765 жыл бұрын
My brother has this cat. He will not let anyone touch him, other than my brother. His athleticism is jaw dropping and he pulverizes literally any object that he can get his paws on. I love going to my brother's house just to look at him, because these F1 Savannah's are sooo beautiful to look at. But they are very high-maintenance and also when my brother has to travel for work, his cat basically goes on a hunger strike. Which is a big problem that my brother has tried to find creative solutions for. Incredible cats, but really for the few.

F1 cats can be tough. But the f3 cats have great personalities very similar to a domestic cat. My f3 and f5 are fairly obedient cats.

As beautiful as your Savannah is, please be more responsible when allowing it to scale bird cages etc in the pet shop, these are prey animals to the Savannah and will be petrified when it leaps towards them. Budgies can die of sudden heart attacks when scared like this. I have 3 Savannah's and would never allow them to terrorize caged animals.

I had two servals and a F-1 Savannah cat. Only one or two times. I took my cats to the pet store they went bonkers chased dogs around the store went nuts trying to get birds and snakes, fish. We went crazy chasing them up and down the isles as they jumped up on top of shelves. Finally after they where bored they came back to me flopped down wanting to be pet. Everyone there thought it was Hilarious watching them run all over. We loved to go to the beach and play under the pier they loved to chase helium balloons and boy did they love showing how high they could jump. I’m

Start preparing now by building jungle Jim’s. An buying litter build up food supplies. And every other little thing you can to get a heads up on supplies. Get a good supply of paper towels and cleaning stuff. I went and baby proofed my home as much as I could. Use a good clear tape to hold down electric cords on the floor. So they can’t chew on them. They are also very good at figuring out how to open doors so make sure you keep them well locked. They will get into everything they can. They could very easily break something a limb, 🙀😿 so make sure they can’t climb up to high at first until they are older. Mine eat a stuffed beanie baby that a nasty neighbor kid gave him on purpose. He cut it open on the seam. And my baby kitty swallowed all the glass beads not knowing how dangerous it could be. He almost died I had to rush him to the hospital. As babies they are fearless and will get into trouble so watch him closely. Other than that tons of hugs an kisses.

I did that with my F-1 Savannah baby several times while she was under a year old tons of fun. But one time she got loose and went nuts chasing up and down the isles of the store. She chased after dogs to play. Tried to jump into the fish tanks and tried to get hold of a guinea pig to eat. She cause so much ruckus running around getting into mischief. The store owner gave me the evil eye look shaking his head pointing at the door. People where laughing at all the mischief she got into in such a short time. She loved to show off and greet everyone who came over to see her. I told the neighbor kids that I had a Lion for a pet before the afternoon was up I must of had 12 little kids came across the street to see my kitty funny as can be she love all the attention. My cat showed off how good she was at playing ball or fetch. Afterwards they ran home to tell the mothers how they got to play with a lion cub. When a whole bunch of mothers showed up at my door wanting to check out this lion I was laughing so hard. They where ready to kill me for messing with them. My friend from across the street forgot to tell his wife it was a joke. I blamed him for it before I got hit in the arm. But she was ready to kill us both for starting up so much.

I actually had to give mine to the zoo because they spray they are very unpredictable around kids and they actually while intelligent for a cat they have mood swings and lets not forget that as a breed they are hybrid i have had a Serval and a Savannah but the best cat in the world in my opinion is almost a draw between the Maine Coon and the Norwegian forest cats they are very intelligent and sweet and while they may not look like a wildcat at least you can leave them with your children without supervision.

..... so how desperate for attention is the owner that he takes his cat out to Petsmart, makes a video of it, posts it on KZbin and gives it an incorrect click-bait title? Most rare cat.... really? No, no it's not the most rare. Stop being such a needy princess and leave you cat at home.... it's better for the birds, the fish, the merchandise at the store and the cat itself. If you feel the need to have people look at you, go with clown shoes and a big red nose.

@alissamclaughlin19495 жыл бұрын
I had two f6 Savannahs, they didn't eat people lol, but they did act like wild animals. Don't get me wrong, they were very sweet when they wanted to be, but they played very rough and didn't care who or what was in their way. It wasn't unusual for them to come flying at our heads! They were loyal, wonderful cats, but they needed plenty of space. I wouldn't recommend them in a home with small children.

so what's the difference between an F1, F2 & F3 Savanah Cat?
@amateurhour7275 жыл бұрын
How much wild cat is in each one. Google will explain better but F1 is half serval half domestic.
@BocaNejra5 жыл бұрын
F1 is first generation cross between Savanah and domestic cat, so it has 50% contribution from each, hybrid vigour and size and so on. F2 is the next generation of offspring and so on. As the generations go further, they are more selected towards a certain trait and they loose the extreme characteristics from the F1 that some people may love. Cheers.
