Thanks for the video! I learned that academic training for J1can be extended for another two years if you are pursuing doctoral degree. I actually asked 3 of my admitted school, only one of them is willing to support my J visa for doctoral study.

Is it better to go f1 directly or should I do an internship with j1 and then go back for f1?

F1 allows for an internship.

Hi! Thanks for useful information. I will be studying masters with duration of 2 years in US. My studies are entirely funded by my home country. I am planning to come with mu husband, and hope he will be able to work legally. So i am considering j1-j1 visas. My questions is am i allowed to apply for j1 as a full time masters student? And another question is can i continue my PhD in UK for example, but not return exactly to my home country for 2 years (my country is Kazakhstan). Will be glad if you could help) thanks!

The J1 visa will mostly likely be the option for you. If there is a home country requirement, you will have to fulfill that.

Really useful, one questions I applied for J1 visa for being camp consoler , my agency said I could be whether a student or employee to apply, however I got rejected they said I needed to be an university student for the j1 camp summer application, is that true?
