@@ugisrugelis2070 Lewis is a genius. When Lewis thanks the people back at the factory on the Sunday and those same factory workers go to work on the Monday, they'll give that extra 5% as a result, no doubt about it. I'm an LH44 fan to the grave, but as I recall both Red Bulls qualified on the primes (as the harder compound was known back then) while Hamilton qualified on the options (the softer compound). A qualy-over-race outlook from McLaren. It ended up working out in the race and I'm glad it did, but I think impartiality, something the anti-Hamilton crowd will all too often refuse to adopt, has to take precedent. In that race Hamilton indeed got pole by virtue of being on the softer compound, but managed to translate that into a win by pure talent in the slower car. I also, however, remember Hamilton running out of fuel and being unable to return to the pits under the car's own power for that qualifying lap. Were rules changed immediately following that incident? Quite possibly. Because a repeat of that incident in Spain 2012 cost Hamilton pole, ultimately giving it to Maldonado.

That singapore lap is the definition of driver and machinery becoming one single unit, harmonizing perfectly in every single aspect. Something you only witness every once in a while from a driver. And I genuinly think no other driver ever came close to this level as many times as Lewis Hamilton. This is exactly why you are able to recognize a great driver even when he is sitting in the fastest car. Appreciate him for as long as he is still around, I'm entirely certain even many of his haters will miss him when he has retired. They won't admit it, but it will be proven when they eventually just start hating someone else. At the end of the day it's what they do.

The fact that Mercedes has the best car with no competition since 2014 doesn't lie, with a wingman that will never attack him since 2017, Lewis only did his job correctly and is a great driver, but i doubt he'll even reach 50 poles if he went to Ferrari instead of Mercedes for example.

Absolutely relentless.. Even as a 7 Time World Champion, he still spends hours behind the scenes to see where he could improve. He knows it all in his fingertips but still learns it like the first time. Champion mentality. When he was shaking after that Pole Lap, it shows how much it took out of him. He channeled the racing gods through himself for the Singapore Pole Lap. Senna at Monaco is known as the greatest pole to be never seen but we saw a once in a lifetime lap from Lewis. No one can deny that Lewis Hamilton is The Greatest of this Era and One of The Greatest of All Time.

Lewis is undoubtedly the Greatest F1 driver of all time, the stats don’t lie and neither does his talent, they all say it’s just the car but in 2008 when he won his first championship, Ferrari actually had the faster car, same in 2017 and 2018, even in 2019 he didn’t always have the best car but I mean obviously there is no doubt most of the time that season it was the best, it’s sad how much hate and racism he gets, disgusting honestly, people will realize how truly great he is when he retires and they will have to live with the fact they didn’t see his greatness when he was driving, that’s why I always appreciate the drivers while they are racing, I am Lewis #1 fan but I always appreciate Max’s talent and greatness, he will no doubt go down as one of the greats, anyways that’s all I gotta say

Gotta admit he's had the fastest car at the beginning of turbo hybrid era which some people have been using as base to undermine his achievements till now but I believe from 2017 onwards it was all down to him. A true masterclass.
@moeez12112 жыл бұрын
Having the fastest car does not guarantee championships. You’ve got to get the absolute most out of the car session after session, week after week, year after year, to be a 7 time world champion. That level of commitment, skill and consistency is what sets multiple time world champions apart from the others.

If someone said to Lewis in 2007 that only sky is the limit for the skills you have, then he literally touched the sky in F1 today with 100 poles and that singapore 2018 pole was hands down the greatest pole lap ever in terms of sheer driving skill because of the track, circumstances around it, etc.. I am not a hamilton fan, but I respect and admire his driving skills and how a relentless athlete he is. I was stunned in disbelief how he got pole on that day like most in F1 world. Who is the GOAT is always debatable , but on that just 1 lap atleast I would put him even above Senna. Hats off Lewis.
