@@MrAndor982 I don't think it would've changed 1997. Villeneuve had the pace to beat him in Jerez. 1994 was a mess but if he'd just taken the punishment at Silverstone, he wouldn't have missed out on so many races. He was hands down the best driver in his championship winning years.

Nah, being nice doesn't win you anything in F1. Look at how aggressive Max is - all the other drivers know he's never backing out, even if it results in contact (Silverstone, Imola, Brazil, Abu Dhabi etc, etc). You have to move out of his way or it's a crash. Like Senna, and Schumacher, and Vettel before he matured. He literally drives people off the road, and is lauded as a champion. A lot of champions have driven this way.

Lewis is an amazing driver but curious how many rivalries he’s racked up in the fight for the constructors. Alonso wanted to setup the pecking order and Lewis refused to be number 2. With Rosberg the tables turned and it was Rosberg bringing the fight to Lewis in which is overcame his teammate and dipped. With Max it was the reigning 7x champ against a talent who had been priming for a title fight for years now. A scrappy underdog and a champ who fought and complained about a driver that essentially mirrored his early F1 career and a season brought to an end by inconsistent governing body. Makes you wonder what is that brings out such fight from Lewis’ competitors and why it seems to go downhill for the respective driver’s relationships
