It really wouldn't have, because he had one of his best seasons ever in 2013 and 2014 but Ferrari still didn't sign him because they went with a Raikkonen comeback and the season after that with Vettel to ferrari instead. I remember everyone being surprised that Ferrari didn't pick him for the 2013 season, because everybody knew Hulk was in contract talks with Ferrari.

@@dink7458 How was Lewis definitely gonna win? Nico catched back up to him after being down a few seconds. And honestly if you look at Alonso's, Webber's and Räikkönen's "excursions" Nico's rear slipping away was a small error compared to that, the problem being a car next to him. Definitely not worth a drive-through penalty though if you compare it to similar mistakes (and their punishment).

Wow, this race have so much legend moments: a championship fight between Vettel and Alonso: Vettel have a very slow start, then spon, have damage Meangwhile Alonso making double overtake. Raikkonen and Shumacher figting incredibly great, and it is last race for Shumacher as well. Vettel making amazing comeback Raikkonen goes off, off and away of the track. One of the best races for Hulkenberg, most likely closest to the podium. Button's last win - classic wet perfiomance. Last race for Hamilton in Mclaren. And actually Petrov on 11th place - just taking away 10th place in constructors championship from Marussia. It was best position for the 3 great outsiders at the time (beaten by Bianchi at 2014 Monaco)

It's fascinating comparing the team-mates of the championship contenders here. Lap 1, Massa had an incredible start getting into P2. Then at the end of lap one allows Alonso to slip up the inside into P3 which put him behind Webber and hulkenberg into P6. Massa being the perfect team player for Alonso. Massa had an amazing start but allowed Fernando to take his podium position for the team. On the other hand, lap one Webber blocks Vettel and forces him back, ultimately causing him to spin and ruin his championship chances. This is apparently what ruined their relationship and led to the Multi 21 incident in Malaysia 2013 (Vettel getting his own back on Webber for jeopardising his championship chances). Webber also asked which switch was 'Multi 12' when asked to let Sebastian through. And Webber sandwiched Vettel on lap 29 which could have ruined is recovery drive again. It's really interesting comparing Massa to Webber here as team-mates. Massa comes across really well here, even though he had reasons to be angry at Fernando. Arguably Michael Schumacher was a better team-mate to Vettel in this race than Webber 🙈

I'm only 23, and I still remember watching this race from start to finish on "SpeedTV". Until Brazil 2012, the only other time I had watched an F1 season consistently was towards the end of 2007 to see that rookie Lewis Hamilton the first black F1 driver, and in 2008 when he won a championship. 2012 was when I really learned to love F1. As happy as I am to see Lewis rise to become a 6-time champion, I hope 2021 brings back the unpredictability of 2012.

As a Force India fan, watching Hulkenberg being the most consistent point scorer in the grid n building up for this race.. Was really heart breaking, frustrating to see him crash, if he didn't crash.. Mayb he would have driving in top team n scoring as many wins to prove all wrong. Have to see drivers like bottas, grosjean, gasly, albon, kyvat get chance in top team but not him.. The most unlucky driver of the decade based on pure talent n not some podium stats. In terms of competitiveness I rate him equal to dani ric
