Nice video man! I’ve been at the KZbin thing for a bit now and always appreciate the smaller channels grinding away making quality content. I’m building an f100 and I was looking for a little info on the s550 swap and landed here.

Does a mustang irs swap have the potential of twisting out from under the chassis like a solid rearend on leaf springs or does all the torque stay inside the irs cage? Asking because I not sure if I should weld it to the chassis or would it be fine bolting it to the chassis and make it removable if needed. Thanks

Bolting will be fine if you use the stock 4 bolt locations. I weld mine because I found the fab work to use the stock mounting locations is just as much work as welding it in. Plus, I wanted the carriage to sit as high in the frame as possible for the lowered stance. All the torque stays within the carriage assembly.
