Bought the tool. Followed your instructions. Worked like a champ. With an OBD2 bluetooth reader and the Torque app I can read the individual tire pressures live.

3rd Option ( but requires FORScan ) - IF you buy your TPMS before you head to the shop - you can write down the hexadecimal code printed on the sensor itself ( I.e. 62E148A4 ), and then using FORScan ( Can/Bus ) and directly drop those 4 values into the 'configuration' under 'BdyCM' and then you'll scroll down and see the 4 old TPMS values. Change them here. You probably will have to tell the tire place where to put the TPMS's LF RF RR LR - I just marked my boxes front and back and this all worked like a charm for my 2018 Ford F-150 XLT. I hope this helps someone.

Did you replace all of your TPMS at each wheel? Reason for relearning please?
@beezeye2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t ever replaced the TPMS on my 2013 F150. There really isn’t a great necessity to relearn the sensors when you rotate the position of the tires on your truck - unless you have one that runs different tire pressure in the front and rear. If you do inflate to higher pressure in the rear tires, when you rotate tire position and put the front tires on the rear without relearning the sensors to their new position, if you get a slow leak in a rear tire you won’t get notified until the pressure is way lower than it would be had you relearned the sensors. Maybe newer trucks are designed better, but on my 2013 when I had a nail in a tire and got a slow leak, I got notified of the loss in pressure on my way home one day but the truck doesn’t tell you which tire it is. When I got home I couldn’t tell which tire was low by looking at them so had to check pressures to see which one was losing pressure. My Corvette TPMS displays pressures on the dash so you know which tire may be low, so you definitely need to relearn the sensors if you swap the tires side-to-side. I’ve always wanted to be able to see my truck tire pressures on the dash, but my old 2013 doesn’t do that. Do the newer year models display tire pressure?

I have one of these tools and tried this, a 2011 F-150 with a different set of tires than what came with the truck, the fellow I bought them from thought they were from a 2012 f-150. Any ideas, how to get my tires to talk to the truck??
@beezeye10 жыл бұрын
The 2011 Owner's Manual indicates that the 2011 is put into the learn mode in the same manner as my 2013 In the video. The 2009-2014 F150 all use the same model#/part# tire pressure sensors, so if those wheels actually have 2012 F150 sensors in them, then your tool should trigger the sensors in order to log them into the TPMS memory in the truck. If the tool won't trigger the sensors, first thing I'd try is replacing the battery in your tool. Second thing I'd be concerned about is if the 2012 wheels actually have tire pressure sensors in them. You may need to break down the tire from the wheel to check if a sensor is actually mounted in there. If it is, check the part# on the sensor to see if the proper sensor for a 2009-2014 F150.

I have a 2016 F-250 and tried the tool. Everything seems to go well until I get to the end, where it says "leaning complete". Then it just goes back to "Low Pressure" again. Is there another step at the end? sigh!

Sorry, but I don't anything about the 2016, or the SuperDuty - I don't know if they have the same sensors and TPMS as my 2013 or something different.

If it has push to start, then push the button with your foot off the brake pedal, and it should go into accessory power mode. Then follow this same procedure from the hazard light on off 3 times and you’ll get the same message on the gauges. Hope this helps.
