great video, I currently trying to fix those mistake I made when starting my account. this helps a lot. I"m trying to be a free to play. And later pay a bit, maybe like buying shards everyone 3 month and dumping like 80 dollars into the game, till I get all my main max. But right now, I just can't afford to put money into the game.

I pull once every event. If I don't get any new unit or vision card that's fine. Just so I don't pass a chance out. Collecting units by theme is my recommendation to everyone. Feels nice to have the same units from the same team; like Caelum, Fortem, Solidus, Equito, etc. I'm using Fortem, the team only has 2 URs- Sterne and Yerma. I had fully awakened 3 SRs, 1 UR, 1MR and don't feel bad about my decisions. Still have enough to fully awaken 2 more URs but only if they have enough shards. I'm 95% free to play. Hehe. The perk of playing by theme. The Exchange shop is extremely useful, but before it came, it was a nightmare to awaken, job break units of the same element. That's the whole point why it was created.

This sounds like a fun idea! I knew I really wanted to build up Frederika when she came out, but didn't have the Visiore to pull on her banner (thanks for nothing Orlandeau...). Didn't even realize that Fred and Engel were a thing until later in the campaign :)

Great video! Thank you very much! I got Orlandeau on the Tactics banner and I almost blew my chance to get him to limit break 5. Fortunately, I saw videos like this one that helped me a lot to focus my resources and now that character carries me through pretty much all PvE content. The strategies that I'm following resemble a lot what you are suggesting, which gives me a good feeling that I'm following a good path. My next target is Warrior of Light and I have 56k free visiore saved, I hope that's enough but, as you said, there is no guarantee so I'm trying to be comfortable with the possibility of not getting him.

Suprisingly, I kinda already did the MMBR strategy, but more out of happen-stance: Through the bingo-quests, Mediena and a bunch of her shards are available, and I actually pulled her through the guaranteed UR summons (which just meant extra shards for me), and I happened to pull Vinera twice from the free UR summons that are currently going on, who is also a banner-unit at the moment, thus making those two my mains. Couple that with the fact that I pulled Frederika in the very first tutorial multi and pulled a dupe from the guaranteed UR summons, and she became my backup (eventhough I did already LB her once and have awoken her twice. oops!). My other URs are all still sitting at Lv. 1-30, but I had already planned who to invest into next.

Good Job on the video. Exactly what I did when I first started even though my friend told me not to build my roster this way. I don't even consider Vision Cards as part of the equation for the game when I do not have a complete roster yet. This has helped me significantly. The only difference is that I did not spend any rainbow shards on Mont or tanks since I have used Kitone for all Brutal quests. Now, this build strategy will be tested in the tower event upcoming.

Great advice absolutely. Im an F2P with a 41 days account. I did pull Ayaka and Engelbert on my reroll but decided to do not work on Englebert yet since I think for a new acount Mont is more than fine, hes now on hes way to the last LB and fully Awakaned. Im getting hes Shards but i think an Engelb is sort of a Luxury since Month hangs quite well. I did save visoire to pull for Viktora, reached her Launch with 50k, got her at 3rd pull, I been able to LB4 her by buying her shards so far, and then the hoarding horizon will be Agrias. Luck never gave me a strong mage, so Im using Miche but just till lvl 60 as a filler, recently pulled Miranda but Im not working on her yet. My proyect on arena is Kury Wezzette+Agrias+Vik ( chil party :D ). My MVP for multys is Shadowlinx. Great video,best for you.

Love your MMBR strate just one thing I would chime in on when doing the Banner Main, I would warn people when they start to make sure there early on the banner or else they might not have enough days or joained the game near the end of the banner so they should wait perhaps on the next banner b4 investing on something they might not have enough time to max.

You should know, you could spend 100k visiore and not get a single UR character. I dont think saving up for a specifik character is healthy for a ftp, just work with what you get, else there is a big chance you just quit when you dont get that unit you saved for.

nice advise man, if i knew this when i just started... still im pulling the 2 steps now just because its 2.5k for 20 units/vision cards and i just might get lucky sometimes, i did this when the past step came and i pulled ayaka, pretty happy with it, but now im wondering if i need to buy the shards from the shop... i have mediena lv 89 and 107 shards til lb5 and ayaka is just lb1 with 40 shards... dont know yet XD still im planing to go for kirufe when she drops for gl GOIN HAM FOR THE WAIFU! amazing video. keep it up

Thanks! Ayaka is unique in that she doesn't get much better from 79 > 99. While her TMR is REALLY nice, in combat she won't be that much better at 99 than at 79. If you can afford the 2k, the 40 shards now might be worth it if you plan on using her :)

Ive been doing a similar method except I personally stop buying shards for my mains at lvl 79 and then move my backup to main. I do spend shards on a main if they are currently the banner character. This way I could assure I have enough visiore to buy like crazy from the shops at banner time, and I could save up more visiore for new unit pulls.

As someone that spent 60k Vis trying to go for Orlandu and not getting him. As well as spending around 50k vis for Lucia and not getting her. :( kinda sucks having shitty luck unfortunately

In this case, just build up some of the other useful UR you pulled (assuming you pulled a few spending that much vis!). My alt account is in the same boat, so I've been building up Xiza and Mediena for the time being.

Yeah, gacha games can be crushing! I spent 30k on Orlandeau, and we see how that went...this is why I recommend "take what you get" for vision cards. Hopefully you got some other good units/cards on those summons!

Of course this is one of the last videos I watch. I got the problem where I got lucky and got a few too many S Tier UR units and spread myself too thin. Invested in some MR/SR units too. Now need to rely on the FF14 free unit to actually take a unit to 99 lol. Ayaka gonna be sitting on the bench for a long long time.

havent spent a single penny, I have lv99 Mediena, lv99 Lucia, lv89 Engle, lv89 Ramza and lv99 Mont, Yshtola, Gaff and Tyrell. With actual patience and legit enjoyment for the game, you can achieve these feats too. It's a grind yes. I've been grinding FFBE since release and I still do occasionally play it from time to time. I beat whales without spending a single penny. It feels good.

Since I am also rank 73 and f2p, I will try to answer this one. For starters you should play the entire story content for the rank exp. Outside of that you should limit break and seldom awaken some N, R, and SR characters to help achieve the mission challenges that reward rank exp.

Just found out your video. Great stuff I have a question hopefully you could answer me. What about people like me who have 3 months in the game and only have been able to pull 4 UR in total but none of them on banner? I have been lucky to have pull Frederica and she has been carrying me in everything but every time I pull foa banner unit is no luck. Currently I have ramza (89) freddi (89) an rob (55). Been stuck like this for more than a month

Ramza is great, should be able to get him to LB5 when FFT comes back around. Fred is great also. Robb? I'd leave him behind. Get Mont & Gaff to 99 and hoard visiore for now. Depending on how much vis you have right now, you could try to pull for Rain. If you don't have a ton saved right now, hoard visiore and rainbow mats for FFT2!

do you mind share your tips how you achieve top 1000 and top 5000 in arena? Is it better to use 2 good Units with 1 bonus unit, or 3 strong units? I happen to be using the same tactics regarding UR units, so I have been managing my resources nicely, but in regards to arena, most of the time i only manage to get top 10 000 with 50percent bonus unit, or if lucky barely scrap 5000 with 75 or 100 percent bonus unit, do u use viseur to refresh orbs, and how much do u suggest or usually use to refresh arena orbs to get the top 1000

Usually takes 2-3 refreshes to get top 1000, and you have to win most of your battles. I like to refresh once/twice on Monday, since the top of the Arena is much more chaotic early in the week. You'll find weaker teams before it sorts out by Thursday/Friday to swimming with the whales :) If you do more battles on Monday, you can use a 75/100 bonus unit no matter how weak they are. Again, as the week goes on it becomes tougher to win, so I usually switch back to my "normal" team. I've been lucky in that Engelbert, Ayaka, Gaffgarion, and Lucia have covered most weeks in terms of bonuses. Only use Visiore to refresh on SUNDAY, and ONLY if it bumps you up a bracket. That #1000 finish? I used 2 Visiore refreshes late on Sunday. 100 visiore to move up to next bracket for +300 vis. Hope that helps!

The macherie & aileen hate gotta stop, any unit is viable in this game & i’ve clear all the content with both units & i know others who have as well. Even in pvp & pve. I’ve played against some nasty players using both & it depends on your build as well, just because they aren’t “meta” doesnt mean they arent viable. Even oedle can be strong

I agree 100%. The hate needs to stop. I think this is the best starting guide but the comment on Aileen made me cringe. I'm using Aileen & Oelde among my main 4 URs and I easily close in on the top 100 in Arena each week. The current canyon map is great for nighthawk from lancers. Aileen destroys Englebert and I target these comps since they typically stack slash res.

John H same they assume that since they’re not see as often mean they’re bad. Aileen is a beast & Like i’ve carried alot of people in brutal dungeons with macherie because she can auto-heal & take alot of hit & survive unlike mages like yshtola/mediena because of low HP. Oedle is “slow” but when he gets in, he can destroy teams from high crit & damage with a good amount of hp

Kinda disagree with the tank part. I don't think they are necessary for PVE content and right now they aren't really that strong in PVP too. Not that new players shouldn't build tanks, but I don't think they're that necessary. As long as you have a team that's not entirely made out of paper, tanks are almost optional.
