that pull at 1:20 seems pretty healthy!...personally I'd leave it right there, as I barely get the chance to use even the stock 300 hp on a daily basis. Which would you say is the bigger difference....stock to Stage 1, or 1 to 2?
@NWAuto4 жыл бұрын
Yeah stage 2 is running very smooth so far, even though I'm on stock spark plugs. And I know what you mean by not being able to use it daily. I basically only get to floor it when entering the highway or when I'm on some backroads. Too many cops around where I live. Stage 1 gives me a 25% increase in HP over stock. Stage 2 gives me a 31% increase in HP over stock. So going from stock to stage 1 is a much bigger difference. But Stage 2 still adds a lot of mid range torque.

Does the stage 2 causes any problems to the engine ? Like decrease the engine life?
@NWAuto4 жыл бұрын
Has not given me any issues so far. The N55 engine is pretty solid. But anytime you increase power, it will wear out certain components faster. You just have to accept that before you tune the car. I don't expect the tune to cause any major issues as long as I do my maintenance, warm it up properly, and don't beat the shit out of it too much when driving. I plan on data logging regularly to make sure everything is functioning the way it should.

I sold the car to my friend a year ago at 62k miles. I think it's at 72k now. He's been running stage 2 the entire time he's owned it and hasn't had any issues yet. I was always on top of my maintenance and never drove the car hard if it wasn't warmed up. My guess is he will have to do the oil pan gasket and maybe high pressure fuel pump at some point since those tend to go bad as you get close to 100k miles. But neither of those jobs are crazy expensive

I'd start by making sure you've done all your maintenance, and that the car doesn't throw any error codes. After that get an aluminum charge pipe installed. I got mine from VRSF. You are good to go stage 1 after the charge pipe upgrade. Optional modifications are cold air intake and intercooler upgrade.
