F350 Brake Caliper Replacement

Had a seized caliper on my truck. heres the fix

UPDATE 8/13/22: just got home long drive and hard braking. Truck brakes amazing got home almost 0 heat coming from the well and caliper. This video saved me thousands and thousands of dollars!!! Just did mine sitting in the truck now thank you so much man this was seriously a blessing bro and I'm in a 2010 still the same procedures good looking out man for real

You can just gravity fill and bleed th calipers through the reservoir. Don't need a funnel. Just keep the res full take off the cap. Crack the bleeder let It fill and run out until there's no more air. Finished.

Replaced both calipers, but couldn't bleed brakes totally. I found out that there is a right caliper and a left caliper. I reversed them when installing. Reverse them and viola! You can now successfully bleed them!

1. Don't antiseize the bolts that hold the entire caliper on, when you should blue-loctite them. 2. Always bleed the brakes. 3. Notice how I spelled brakes. Might get more hits spelling it right.

Bracket to Steering knuckle torque to 166 ft lbs. Caliper bolts to guide pins on bracket, torque to 46 ft lbs. But what is the torque for the brake line banjo bolt? Thanks for sharing!

IF my Ford F350 pulls to the left when breaking, does that mean I have a right side caliper issue ?

I have the same thing. Did you fix your issue? Only one of the pistons on my right caliper moves when pushing the brakes.

ford brakes are horrible for this issue they stick all the time for some reason there design just doesn't cut it in rain and snow areas

Charles Woyner.......he DID show pad replacement, and he clearly stated that because he pre-filled the caliper and let the brake hose flow, that bleeding wasn't necessary.....

Fitz's Fixes filling the caliper with brake fluid. Pinching the brake line off. I install the caliper bracket and pads all in one step two 21mm bolts and done.

you want it done right especially for the braking system. I would take my time also, also explaining it can be done.

407ForRent.....you still have to fill a new caliper with brake fluid......if you do that prior to install, you eliminate bleeding (though gravity bleeding works well, too)......btw....the bracket didn't need to be replaced.......so your advice ADDS a step.......
