+Bigrig Bailey Hey Bud, I can really appreciate your enthusiasm for the Perkins engines, they are though indeed but I have to ask you not to use bad language when commenting on my videos. Thanks and have a great day!

It is the 6 354 naturally aspirated all stock. It puts out about 155hp @ 2600rpm and 370 ft lbs torque @ 1700 rpm. It's doing about 19 - 25 MPG empty and about 11 - 13 with our 6 horse gooseneck trailer with 355s in the rear end. On the next project we are going to put in the T6 354 turbo edition as it would be significantly more HP and better mileage. I know a guy with the T6 354, he has it tuned up, it has more HP and TQ then the 5.9 cummins with 308s in the rear and he's doing 45 MPG

Jess Dyck nice build! How does it handle highway speeds? Wanting to swap one into a squarebody burb NA at first and eventually turbo

Very nice work. Very few people have the skills or interest to do this kind of thing. They used to call it "American Ingenuity" back in the 1960's. I'm seeing a serpentine belt AND air conditioning. How awesome is that! Chevy diesel clutch, too. I put the Kubota 3 cylinder in my Geo Metro so I know what problems you had to contend with. I also did the 6.5 turbo diesel in the Romany boat Popeye and just finished installing its old Perkins 4107 diesel in a 28 foot Tollycraft...appropriately named Tolly Turtle. 6 mpg in a 28 foot boat! Unheard of. Keep up the great work!

oh my god, that is so awesome. I've always LOVED Perkins engines. we've got an old Massey my grandpa bought years ago. all my aunt's, uncle and dad got together a while back and bought him a 5420 Deere with AC and everything. it's a nice tractor, but it's still a Deere. despite it having twice as many gears, the Massey will flat out blow it away on the road. we also have a '96 JCB 36ft telescoping forklift with a 4cyl Perkins, and that thing has been the best piece of equipment we've ever owned. I've never been too big on Cummins, other than the 4bt, we have a Case 580m as well. and I'm definitely tired of seeing Ford's with 6bt swaps. I love it, that's just cool and sounds awesome.

I watched the last video ,when he started this on making the bell housing, very good, this is what is all about, not that crap on tv where they have a dozen guys making a car or a rod then selling it for 20 or 30 thousand, or those truck shows on tv ,this is thinking and engineering it your self trial amd error, makes good machanics and we are out here, very cool

What a waste, putting such a nice engine, into such a old piece of junk truck.

This truck is awesome and is exactly what a truck should be. Looks ready to do some work around farm.
