Definitely potential for a continued story here... I listened to this on the way home from work (it was almost the perfect duration for the drive) and when things got to the crackling and crunching part, I could just about feel it all happening. The only suggestion I might make about the sound effect would have been to include another track of similar crunching sounds, but run through a low-pass filter (to get rid of some of the higher-pitched sounds and make the lower-pitched sounds seem more internalized - like the popping that you get when you crack your back, but more gruesome and visceral). I really hope this story continues.
