Why the fuck is he not holding a SOCOM? I would also like to state that of all the possible poses and designs, this has to be the least impressive reveal of a statue of all time. It is so unimpressive that even though there are ZERO options as far as MGS1 snake statues go, this one is still not worth buying.

Well this sucks. I honestly expected something more accurate to classic MGS1 Snake like he is seen in-game. Why the hell doesn't he have the iconic SOCOM in his hands instead of this 1911-looking gun? Why are the white pieces so incredibly highlighted when classic Snake is almost entirely dark blue and grey with bluish hues?? Like, I get your reasoning, but I just don't buy how it has taken shape.

I think there should be some adjustments to the paint colors. Classic Snake has a lot of dark greys and blues. I love the sculpt.

I have to say I'm a massive Metal Gear Solid fan and a F4F supporter in Aus (love the collectors club) and seeing this statue has brought me such joy! I love Solid Snake and you guys have nailed him! I'm comparing your statue to pictures from the legacy collection and you smashed it, only thing is the gun but I know you guys have already said your looking into it which is great :) Also I see people saying the base makes no sense to the game, but to me this is a great way to show Snake without making it plain because to me just looking at it I get the feeling like I'm playing the game again, I just got seen by the enemies so I try to rush to cover and you can see the force of him pushing towards the wall and the way it looks makes me think the enemy is still alert of me in the area so Snake is slightly peaking out ready for action. I love it I'll be buying the Twin Snake Pack and OMG that rotating ammo box Great work guys!

EDIT: Oh my God, you guys actually listened to the critique people expressed! I know it's not set in stone yet wether not Konami will approve the changes but I just wanted to say THANK YOU for listening to your fans! You have my deepest respect for that! If Konami approves the changes I will gladly preorder this figure! Again, thank you! I really don’t want to bash this figure or anyone at F4F and I was hesitant to post this at first, but I feel like I have to get this off my chest. These are just my personal feelings and an honest critique for a figure I was extremely excited for since it was teased a couple of weeks ago. I’m not sure what to say. I really want to be excited for this figure and I want to like it but somehow I just can't... There are too many things that simply seem wrong to me, many of which have already been mentioned by other people. First off, that face. It just doesn't look like Snake. Not that it looks "bad", it just doesn't look like Solid Snake, to me at least. Then, the gun. This is not the infamous SOCOM. Yes, they said they are working on it and hopefully they will change it into the SOCOM or at least a gun that looks like it. Yes, „it’s just a gun“, but it’s so iconic, they just can’t get that wrong. That’s like giving Cloud from FFVII just a „regular“ sword… Next thing is the pose of the figure… I don’t know, I just wish it was... different? Something that is more striking. Maybe the „elevator pose“ from the beginning of MGS1 or something like that. Snake hiding behind that wall like that just doesn’t do it justice I think. Lastly, Snake looks like he is on some serious steroids. Yes, he’s the legendary soldier, the man who can make the impossible possible, but he is so shredded, he looks more like a legendary bodybuilder. I would be ok with all of that for a figure in the 150-300$ price range (which I think is already pretty steep) but for 525$? I'm sorry, but this is just ridiculous. I don’t know how much Konami is responsible for that high price, but this is just milking the fans of a franchise they truly love, which saddens me. The only other figure worth getting would be the PAK one, but good luck finding one that is under 250$… Again, this is not meant as a offense! I know the figure can still change until it's release, but right now I just don't think it's worth the price, which is really sad :(

totally agreed with all you post, this Solid Snake the face lacks character, no offense to the artist behind this edition, but when you played the entire saga since the 80's you get picky with the character's details, the Splinter Cell green LED is a little cheese but ok.

Exclusive is open for pre order for 2 weeks, Starting September 5th. The Stealth Camo edition is only available for 3 days, Starting September 5th. Regular version should be available for a while though.

Well, considering the intention is make Solid Snake from MGS, at least it should have the looks from the MGS Twin Snakes , considering the original PlayStation game the characters didn't have much facial details. Considering the price, it should have the SOCOM or the FAMAS.

You guys put a lot of care and detail in your figures, and I think this is a good statue, but really, making the pose a more realistic take on the MGS1 version kind of takes aways the "MGS" element of the whole statue, yes of course it looks more dynamic which makes it more interesting, but I would be more willing to buy it if it actually reminded me of MGS. The base is some weird almost urban-looking ruin which is kind of generic, you could have had him press up against corridors from MGS1, or the famous crates from when you first enter the Heliport, you could have added a little surveilance camera on top of the base. I guess my main criticism is that if you removed the bandana a lot of people wouldnt even know it is MGS related. Sure you used the detailed revised Legacy Collection suit but the color of the body suit (not the vest) is way too "white". I know you are commenting how it is a model straight from the official file, but Google the actual artwork, look at the official render from MGS: Social Ops, or the The Twin Snakes model, or even the original pixelated model, the color is definitelly a light blue, after all it is the same suit as the MGS2 sneaking suit but without the vest. This one just seems way too white which together with the weird pose full of expression, the uncharacteristic base, the fact that he doesnt have his most iconic gun, the SOCOM and that the ammo box looks nothing like the box from MGS1 all contribute to this not really looking especially "MGS." I would like to note that you probably have one of most accurate Snake faces there is, his eyes are WAY TOO SMALL but yeah it looks pretty good compared to other figures. Overall you guys made an amazing figure, it is very detailed and a lot of thought went into it, but I think fans and MGS figure collectors would prefer a more accurate take on MGS1, mostly because there already are a lot of poseable figures who take liberties with the design.

yeah, after all this years and many brands that already put out snakes posable and static versions, if you gonna appeal for Nostalgia, and differentiate from the pack you need to go to details and get more feedback from specific hard-core metal gear fans, older fans, 30s and late 20s , who remember the games from 80's and the PSX from 1998.

I know the reason why we got a billion Snake and Big Boss figures today is because they are the best known characters and whatnot, but come one, I would pay 100 dollars for a simple Pixel brick of Snake from MG1 on the MSX, or even MG2SS on the MSX2....

He needs to be holding the SOCOM with the laser mounted on it. His NVG need to be fixed and have RED lenses. The color scheme is a bit off but other than that it's killer. Personally I can over look everything except the SOCOM pistol. The SOCOM is sooo Solid Snake and the 1911 is sooo Big Boss. These are such iconic parts of the series it has to be fixed I understand you guys are working on it but it's such a big piece of the character/mythology. Good luck guys!

Love the box idea as well! I'd like to see Sniper Wolf, Meryl, heck even Otacon. Of course Liquid and Ocelot would be good as well. If you move beyond MGS1? Naked Snake (Big Boss) from MGS3, The Boss (played by Lori Allen), and maybe even Quiet from MGSV. Perhaps Metal Gear Rex and Ray themselves!

We do offer flexipayment plans and our prices are very competitive in the same market. These are hand made and in resin. I guarantee you these will never reach that high number you mentioned at all. Not just us but any other similar companies out there. Plus we do not set the es size from the get go. We only produce x amount of x preorders we get during the 2 week preorder period. I highly recommend you at least join our collectors club on facebook to get the feel and understand this collecting hobby. Im sure you will appreciate and understand teh work that goes through in making these pieces :)

vetteboy1982 These things are always way overpiced. But as long as people will buy it, the prices wont drop either. Theres lots of similar quality statues out there for 300/400 , ,especially if you look at marvel or DC figures. First 4 Figures, Pop Culture shock, kinetiquettes you name them, love to exploit gamers. They know gamers are suckers for buying statues of there favorite game heroes/villains. You see this back in the collectors editions as well. A great example is CAPCOM with there RE2 remake CE are absurdly priced (250 euros for europe!). Im such a sucker myself unfortunately :(

Now am I the only one to think than other than the obvious things are off on this figure the scale is also off whack and it looks like the upper body and lower body don't match a bit like Solid Snake Hit the Gym and forgot all about leg day ! I think they should slightly tone down the upper body and arms to match the lower body a bit more ! and Please fix the head model that looks nothing like Solid Snake !

What is up with the main release? The snow totally ruined it. It was very poorly done. The face looks weird and the weathering is not the same as the prototype... Not as bad as sif, but common.... Create the same thing as what is offered in the prototype, people paid money for that!

Yeah! Nice figure for 549$ only.... sorry but this figure sucks, even the PAK ones are more accurate. Not to piss in others work but... face looks nothing like snake, gun is wrong, colors are not correct and too dark.... not poseable... sorry for this kind of figure the price outrageously funny.
