I'll tell you what the switch was - the pandemic. @junkyarddigs and his buddies were (and remain) a good hang during the pandemic. At a time when the world was getting really really really crazy, here's this guy (and his girlfriend, and his buddies) that's looking for broken things and fixing them with his brain and some brake fluid. It was really soothing to watch, and satisfying when you got to the first start of the engine. Brilliant format, great channel.

The farm equipment revival is also captivating and inspiring, def what makes the videos is the cast tho. They could rebuild old bicycles and we'd watch. The Grand Prix grand Prix is also awesome

Came here for JYD! I’m just a working father who enjoys his videos. I’ve been subscribed for some time. I didn’t really know much about cars, engines, nothing but thanks to people like Kevin, who offers education with his videos I can at least change the oil on my own now. Even brakes! Great podcast. First time on the channel, absolutely love this format. Been a follower of Kevin’s since just before the pandemic I believe and it’s been amazing to watch him grow. I was always hoping when I saw Mook in the video and the connection/energy they had together that they’d start dating so it was a good day when they got engaged. Kevin’s video make me want to revive, even though we’ve got a new motor for it, my Dad’s 79 Camaro. Absolutely love the whole network of channels that I now follow thanks thanks to JYD

Kevin's videos are infuriating to watch because they are so loaded with ads. Relaxing content seeing someone else fight with old worn out junk but no fun to watch.
