If you’ve ever had the chance (and the nerve) to hold an adult tarantula, they actually have cute little paws on the end of their legs. They also move in a smooth graceful manner. Very cool little animals.

I'm irrationally afraid of anything with 8 legs, yet I think spiders are so interesting. Basically as long as I don't see it, I'm fine. I've gotten better at looking at the small spiders IRL without panicking, but images are still too much 🥲. Hopefully one day, I'll be able to hold one without wanting to yeet it and myself off a bridge 🥸.

@@louisrobitaille5810 I’m not a huge fan of other varieties of spiders, and I absolutely despise scorpions because I found one in my boot when I was in North Africa (it crawled out onto my hand and I blasted it to smithereens with my entrenching tool.) New-World breeds of Tarantulas are very calm and non-aggressive so they are much better for holding.

Loved the little intro to acupuncture you gave, literally the same spiel I have to give every new patient. "The needles are very thin, it can sting a little but it's mostly fine, try not to move and it'll be nicer for you if you try to relax." In that order, 99% of the time lol
