I keep trying to listen to the newer soundtracks, but they can never beat the classics! This is probably where Katamari reached its PEAK, since most of the newer games are kind of the same areas reused. I loved the creativity in levels for this game! So clever! I think the first two are absolute masterpieces while the other three are real good (besides Beautiful Katamari's DLC bullcrap and Me & My Katamari's controls). The only bad or mediocre games are Touch My Katamari, Tap My Katamari and Amazing Katamari Damacy. Could be that I'm just a huge fanboy of the series, but none of the sequels after We Love Katamari were bad besides TMK.

I remember being so excited for a sequel to Katamri Damacy, it’s fun but it was a bit of a letdown. I can’t remember exactly why, but I think it’s because it doesn’t try to top the first game, it’s more like an expansion pack than what you’d expect from a true sequel. I’d like to play it again, because there are things I remember liking and the soundtrack is amazing. The soundtrack is more of a sequel than the game itself. It feels huge, with high production value. Katamari Forever did a great thing by combining the first two games into one, with remastered graphics, and combining the soundtracks. The first game is flawless, but Katamari Forever is a close second for me.
