A lot of people I think are misinterpreting what I’m saying. I’m very aware of how diverse JPOP is, I’ve been a fan of groups like PERFUME and JUICE = JUICE for more than ten years, long before I discovered KPOP. I didn’t say what I did to put down other JPOP groups, I was mostly referring to the phenomenon where JPOP, CPOP, and others feel they must align with the KPOP model to succeed, and any non-korean idols in KPOP must practically be almost indistinguishable, down to even their appearances. This isn’t to necessarily put down KPOP either, but as someone who’s gotten used to KPOP, seeing this music video, with f5ve members who are gorgeous without being “perfect”, was very refreshing. JPOP has always been more outside of the box, and that’d what makes it special.

I am SO excited! Kaede is a complete package and a gorgeous supermodel and honestly she comes off as very humble and cool, she likes apex legends! Many of you might not know but Ruri is an exceptionally talented vocalist and her role in this group shows how much of a professional she is. Her dance abilities have MASSIVELY improved over time. Miyuu is an alluring and charismatic mover and just so happens to be a professional choreographer, contributing to most if not all of happiness and f5ve choreography. Sayaka has consistently been heavily featured for her ability to master any choreographer and has excellent freestyle skills. Rui is new to me but her voice is multi layered and adds a ton of interesting depth and variety to f5ve songs! I will ALWAYS SUPPORT F5VE and i am SO HAPPI to see my happiness girls continuing to thrive!
