@@eastbow6053 Oh, it is more than just that. Even if everything is going normal the stress and the inattention could bring the plane down but we should be really concerned about our own government. You may think they would never use an airplane crash for their political purposes I think otherwise. I think if they need a new war they just manufacture consent by bringing down a plane and claiming it is because current bad guy nation. If there is only one pilot there they have to upgrade the Fly by Wire system and even the remote control system also after a crash it is very helpfull hearing what people talk about, if there s only one pilot there and the plane will crash the black box sound will be useless. Overall it is the recipe of a disaster and I can asure you the private jets of the rich people will be driven by two pilot always.

My stepmother just lost consciousness while driving and they think it's related to a heart event. She's "grounded" now but she got the bivalent booster just 2 weeks before this event. And now has a pacemaker. It certainly makes me concerned for all the other people behind steering wheels, whatever kind they may be. And all the people who may be in the line of danger if someone behind the wheel loses consciousness. Concerning doesn't even cover it.

Dr. Jensen, thanks for a great presentation... As a pilot and a flight attendant, my main concern throughout the mandates up to present, is the safety of my pilots. I know many at my base didn't get the vaccine, but I know a handful did. I definitely feel better flying with ones who I know that stood their ground. The way the FAA is changing all their rules in regards to vaccine is insane. As stated, I'm a pilot! Recently, I've had a few health issues unrelated to the vax (unvax) and I'm so careful with what I'm prescribed as I don't want to lose my medical. With that being said. The FAA won't let a pilot take a medication that's not FDA approved, even then once it's FDA approved it must be on the market for 12 months, before a pilot can take it.. why was the vaccine an exception? Also, the FAA mandates the pilot should have 72 hours of no flying after receiving the vaccine, but still allowed airlines to schedule them immediately... Pilots can't take SSRIs due to one pilots unfortunate behalf... one event happened, that's all it took was one major event for the FAA to remove almost all SSRIs(minus I think 2) from the allowed list. Yet, all the heart issues, untalked about deaths occuring on planes, in hotel rooms of flight crews. Isn't changing anything? I have so many questions.

@@parkerkamis9949 Adderal is an amphetamine-class drug,, but the only times it could cause problems are if it was abused or was causing withdrawals due to sudden cessation. Selegiline is another weird antidepressant. In rare cases, one its metabolites, methamphetamine can cause a false positive, especially at higher doses or with accidental overdose. Monkeys can drink antifreeze (ethylene glycol), but humans can't. It is not the ethylene glycol that is poisonous, rather its metabolite: oxalic acid. Ethanol has a less toxic metabolite, acetaldehyde, which is the chief source of unpleasant hangovers when alcohol is drank in excess. Moderate consumption of alcohol is practically harmless, unless you are an addict, because the liver cannot process it fast enough, but it can process acetaldehyde quite promptly into acetic acid, which is not toxic. Alcohol itself is only slightly poisonous, but "dirty drinks may contain other poisonous alcohols, mainly methanol (but ironically, ethanol is an antidote for methanol and ethylene glycol poisoning)! Ethanol actually saved my life, after I became suicidal and drank antifreeze. But I washed it down wit beer. At the time, I didn't know that ethanol was an antidote. In ICU, the doctors administrated an ethanol IV drip. I am not making this up! FWIW: the legal BAC for pilots is half that for drivers of ground vehicles in most states, including California! Alcohol is neither a true depressant nor hallucinogen; it is a general anaesthetic! But the more you know, or even think you know, the more severely your teaching is judged. This is yet another logical fallacy, but oh, well...

The fact that a medicine has to be approved on the market for 12 months before pilots are allowed to take it... just shows the FAA knows about FDA's tendency to approve (and then retract) dangerous drugs. It's very common, although it takes more like 3-4 years.

My brother is a commercial pilot and was forced to take the vax to keep his job. Recently, he developed a serious blood clot in his leg--a condition he has never had before. Thankfully, he has recovered and is now back to work. But I worry what damage might have been done to him because the airline did not believe in science. The FAA isn't a medical organization, and if you say there's a standard of heart care that will call for attention to a patient when a level is reached, who is the FAA to change that standard!? Dr Jensen, I'm 77 years old and I hold a commercial pilot certificate with multi engine, instrument and rotorcraft helicopter ratings. I flew my homebuilt Subaru powered high wing taildragger for over 20 years after having spent 3 years building it. I haven't used my license in some time, but thought I may rent a plane at a local airport to keep current, but on Dec 9, 2022, I was rushed to the ER with a very thready pulse of 30bpm. I couldn't get a reading on my home blood pressure machine, and at the hospital they slapped defib paddles on me right there in triage. Within 2 hours I had a pacemaker implanted. For the record I was frightened as was my wife, into getting the Moderna double shot in early 2021and would in no circumstance make that decision again. Thank you for getting this important information out there.

I have an elderly friend, fully vaxxed, who just developed an arrythmia and will be getting a pacemaker. He is not allowed to drive a car until his surgery. Other fully vaxxed and boosted members of my family have had (1) a heart attack, (2) heart failure and sudden death, (3) enlarged aorta, and (4) a stroke. I have an uncle that is now on a pacemaker after only 4 months of being fully vaxxed. The doctors asked him of he had felt some heart 'pain' 10 years ago, he said yea and they said it was due to previous history. He really hasn't had a history of heart problems, heartaches don't count. Another uncle who had a stroke, fully jabbed. They both are going with what the doctors are saying, kind of infuriating to hear. My dad, who has had 3 heart attacks and 2 bypass surgeries, is doing much better and is doing better despite his history of heart problems. Not jabbed. Kind of interesting to see how people with no heart problems are now relying on pacemakers to keep their heart going.

My doctor advised me to follow a six month term of chemotherapy treatments, which I underwent. Shortly after the chemo, my doctor advised against taking the covid shots, due mostly to the lingering after effects of the chemo sessions. Since then. I asked about getting a medical exemption from the vaccine, so that I could resume travelling without the obligatory vaccine passport. "No dice," I was told. "Get the jab, or stay home." I find it strange that many "elites" aren't required to be vaccinated. Others are taking a shot of saline, just to get the vaccine passport.

@@rollydoucet8909 there are very few countries that still require vaccination for entry so unless you are interested in Libya, Pakistan, Indonesia, or a handful of others there is no need to fret about poisoning yourself just for the sake of travel. Unfortunately, the US remains closed to unvaccinated foreign travel but I hear there is quite an easy way to circumvent that restriction simply by driving or walking across the southern border. LOL

Second, I find it incredibly ironic that you quote the safety of commercial aviation while working in the medical field. The medical community kills between 250,000-400,000 patients every year due to malpractice and mistakes. The US Airlines recently had a 10 year span of zero fatalities due to aircraft accidents. Something more serious? You got to wonder about Yeti Airlines flight YT-691, an ATR-72-212A that crashed on final approach in Nepal, an apparent stall and spin accident. Yes, it could have been one of the dumbest commercial PF error in history or a medical emergency like that of American Airlines captain Robert Snow. It is something I have feared, a PF clutching the yoke and thrust levers in a death-grip during a critical phase of takeoff or landing; not much the PM can do at that point to prevent an unrecoverable stall, especially when flying at speeds less than the DMMS at low altitudes.

I wonder what would happen if it is proven that there is a nexus of causality between the mandated treatment and the increase of the P-R interval in a pilot - which may subsequently be dismissed because he/she is now a risk. Beta-andrenergic blockers can cause a first degree block. This is normal, and beta blockers are sometimes prescribed off-label for anxiety and other psychologic. I do have bouts of atrial fibrillation, but they are psychosomatic. My heart is fine, but I have electrical problems and psychosomatic ulcers. Another symptom is adrenal exhaustion. Panic attacks have put me in the hospital, and I wore a defib vest for three months. It never went off. That would be a shocking experience. I am a layman studying cardiology and aneasthesiology. I once met this lady anaesthesiologist, and let me tell you: she was a real knockout!

Took quite awhile to find a site on KZbin talking about this. I think due to the mandatory punctures they have about 30% heart-impaired pilots. Would practically shut down the industry. So they lowered standards. (That has really become a thing everywhere lately.) I hear they want to lower them even more with foregoing co-pilots. So there you are in a plane, pilot has a heart attack, the plane goes down. You die, the crew dies, the pilot dies, the rest of the passengers die, and anyone who happens to be on the ground where the plane crashes dies. Multiply the possibility by 30% of commercial flights where puncturing was ordered or you lost your career. Yikes.

No, these things don't add up. You're a doctor - use that for good, not for speculative conjecture. Prevent cardiovascular disease by eating a healthy diet, not smoking, keeping a healthy weight, exercising regularly, and taking the drugs are prescribed. Go unvaccinated if you don't care about your elder loved ones, but that's not going to prevent you from atrial fibrillation or cardiac sudden death.
