For a full week in February of 1972, the seemingly improbable happened. A very popular daytime talk/variety television program, The Mike Douglas Show, had John Lennon and Yoko Ono as its guest co-hosts.
As popular as it was, The Mike Douglas Show was considered to be pretty “vanilla “ and was not known for promoting anything near controversial. The show was the last place the world thought that they would see the likes of John and Yoko espousing their beliefs, let alone activists Jerry Rubin and Bobby Seale. But for this auspicious event, John and Yoko had an agenda to further “the movement".
What TV viewers actually saw was a week of song, fun and education, the likes of which had never been seen on daytime talk shows, and may never be seen again.
The Fab 4 Free 4 All reviews the documentary “Daytime Revolution” which transports its audience back to that week in February 1972. People involved with this historic week provide the context to allow the modern viewer to fully understand what was happening during those turbulent times, and, consequently why these five episodes of daytime TV were much more important than we may have realized at the time.

The Fab 4 Free 4 All podcast focuses on topics that span the Beatles’ group and solo careers. Think of any song or album - any aspect of the Beatles as a group, solo artists, musicians, songwriters, or any part of their history - and it's all here, or bound to be featured in a show some time down the road.
As always, thanks for watching and listening!
Enjoy.
