I love these pencils. They have the beauty of pastel with the advantage of being much cleaner. Birds are one of my favorite subjects. With your talent, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this technique and achieve great results.

Your Goldfinch and all of your bird art is wonderful!! ❤ I love birdwatching, too. It's great to contribute your observations to help protect the birds. I don't have soft pastels, just oil pastels. Those can be messy, too, but I usually blend them with Prismacolor pencils, and they seem to work well together. 😊

What a beautiful drawing, I ve been drawing things I don’t usually do. I’ve found it challenging, but good. I’ve got some lovely watercolour pencils, and have been using those, my watercolour paints, and just sketching. Love your goldfinch, it’s beautiful. Thank you Amanda x❤

Lovely video as always! I’ve been doing the Big Garden Birdwatch for years, in fact I think I did the very first one back in the 70’s! It’s a lot of fun and very relaxing at the same time. I’ve never used pastel pencils, it’ll be interesting to see how you get on with them over time, you’re Goldfinch is great. I have that book too, it’s very helpful. 🌻
