But are you sure you're holding the correct people accountable or just the ones you assume should be accountable?

The crime and the empty storefronts are plain to see. This city has crashed very low, and very quickly.

These are the lingering effects from Covid. It's happened all over the world to one extent or another. Covid lasted at least 3 years. It's going to take more than a year to get back to normal.

The empty storefronts are obvious. Property owners like the moron who hung this banner are still trying to collect the same outrageous rents they did before the pandemic destroyed foot traffic and drove half the businesses out of the Promenade. No business can survive for long with rents like that, and like any shopping mall in decline, the vacant stores are a self-reinforcing problem. The criminals and the homeless move in when a thriving space falls into decay... not the other way around.

The truth hurts. They are destroying the City of SM, I applaud the creators of the banner. Let's hope the people make their votes count.

If the so called "leaders" are embarrassed by the banner and not the state of the city, that tells you everything you need to know about these people.

3:09 LOL, I was waiting for someone to tell you to walk the bike. I can't ride two feet in that area without being told to dismount. Take care buddy

Good. If you don't call these people out about what's apparent & obvious, they will keep lying to themselves that there's nothing wrong. Make them acknowledge it 💯

Even for daytime it looks bad. The only way to revive the place might be like the NYPD does at Times Square. Cops on foot at every corner. The city could not afford or even hire that many more.

Are these signs on property owned by the person who made the sign or gave their permission to put it up? If so, I wouldn't want to lease from a property owner who would support this sign. It's a cheap publicity stunt that's hurting the reputation of the city more than the individuals it's targeting.

It's probably that Trump-humping drama queen, John Alle. Property owner who likes to pull publicity stunts like this when he's not picking fights with (and getting his ass kicked) by homeless guys in the park.
