I had a guy peel a banana and throw the peel on the scale laughing. I charged him $25 for it. He got mad and I said either pay it or pay the bail because there's a cop standing over there and he'll arrest you. We was cussing when he left 😂

As someone who worked in a grocery store you will be absolutely shocked at how many ppl need this explained to them. You are payying for the whole fruit. You cannot just cut apart a potato and buy the center. The peel is factored into the price per pound of the banana. You either buy it with the peel on or you don't buy it. Once a lady yelled at me for touching her grapes with my bare hands. She put 3 colors in 1 bag and i needed to separate them to scan and weigh them. I told her "ma'am, my hands are clean and i can promise you they are much the same as the hands that harvested these in the field. Please wash your produce." My father picked grapes and you do not want to jist eat those out of the bag😂

The store buys those same bananas for pennies and sells them to you for dollars. They pay so much less that gas stations can (and do) buy them from that store and still make a great profit. I used to purchase fruit and bananas from Walmart for a big truck stop and we sold it with a gp of 70 or better. I kept mine around 80-90 using price match and coupons. Don't hate on her, hate on the people robbing you.
