I have tried this butter. I do like the scents and it works pretty well. The one reason I will not be using this in the future is the simple fact that I'm steering away from using any product that has wax in it. Yes you can tell that there is wax in this product and the effect that it has on the beard is it traps and coats the beard so it can't breath well. I want products that help to moisturize and also allow my beard to breath properly. Wax doesn't do anything for a beard but seal the follicle

Thank you so much for your input. I tend to agree, while I would like to be able to eliminate this known issue without changing ingredients alas, my magic is not that strong. So for now we will have to make do with a bit more hand rubbing because my beard has never felt better!

Your butters are my personal favorite. My beard feels so soft and hydrated. I work in a warehouse where it's just like being outside. I put your butter in my beard in the morning before I go to work. The softness and hydration lasts almost all day. I apply a little oil later on during the day when needed. I love the entire experience. Finally got in the Grower oil and butter. It is definitely the thickest butter I have, but I expect thick stuff from Fable. Your description is spot on, it gives hold (even though I'm night use) and it is super conditioning. A few months ago my wife laughed when she saw I was buying beard oil from a guy dressed up like a wizard.....now her favorite Fable scent is the Wizard. Keep up the great products.

Thank you. A butter should be made with butter. I once disagreed with Dan C that Detroit Grooming doesn't offer a butter. Answer was believe me it's a butter. A butter with close to no butter. Sorry your video just reminded me of all the reviews I've seen of a particular product that conveniently avoided the ingredients.

I always remelt stir and freeze your butters when I get them, and actually once they return to room temp, they emulsify super quick, I never really have dealt with having to work them more than others, plus I get that amazing feel. I love your stuff!

Great to see another video, Collin. I really like beard butter, I think it is a great help to nourishing the hairs and skin. The reason to not use carrier oils and to also increase the butters in the formulation is interesting to learn about. So that is why the butter is grainy. While your butters are indeed more grainy, I like the fact that you get more butter content within each tub. I will be honest, sometimes the graininess can be time-consuming to melt in hand, but I love the scents, and how the butter feels on my skin and hair. I do wish it was just slightly less grainy though. Thanks again- always a fan of Fable and will continue to buy your beard products!

Great company and great products. I was a little skeptical with my first butter, as it was gritty out of the jar. But after rubbing it between your hands for 15-20 seconds it melts down nice and feels amazing in beard, Leaves it super soft and the scents last a long time. This was the 1st beard butter for me and I didnt even think twice about the consistency or hand feel. I'm used to using some heavy duty mustache waxes and you always needed to warm them up in your hand or fingers to make them usable. Great butter and will be purchasing more

I find that a balance of both tickles my fancy when it comes to beard products. I like to have a premium experience overall on both how it feels in the beard and the hand. And while your beard butter doesn't have that feel in the hand i do enjoy the smells and the feel in the beard.

I like both types of butter with & without carrier oils. The Grower beard butter works very good and now I understand the whole aspect in your creation. By added a drop of beard oil with some butter, changes it up a little too. Depending on your preferences of that day.

Almost every product takes some effort to get it to work. For example soap, toothpaste, shampoo etc all requires a little work to lather up but the main objective is for the product to work well for us in the long run. I don’t mind the in hand experience to be honest as long as it feels great in the beard. In my humble opinion I think it would be helpful to new customers to learn about the difference in the butters and how different yours is to the rest of the brands by just having a quick explanation of your product under the butter description? Or even just a brief video explaining to avoid confusion. Your products are great and I cant wait for the Christmas scents!! Have a great one lord wizard 🧙‍♂️

I haven’t tried your butters yet but to answer the question generically about other products....feel or in hand consistency does not matter to me as long as the product works in my beard. I have used a few oils from other companies that made my hands feel a bit greasy, but the oil absorbed extremely well in beard. 99% of the time, we are applying products while at the bathroom sink, so taking an extra few seconds to wash excess off hands of any product is fine by me.

IMO I couldn’t care less about the “in hand feel”, I’m more concerned with the actual performance in the beard where it actually matters. I just ordered your gunslinger oil and butter combo kit and can’t wait to give it a try! But if somebody did think the butter was a little too thick maybe you could add a drop or 2 of oil to your hands before melting the butter down in your palms to thin down the viscosity? Just an idea.

It’s part of the natural kokum butter. It just takes a bit more heat than the others to melt down.
