For yall in the comment, you should probably tape around the headlight when you sand. Also start with 800 grit, 1500, then 2000 grit, make sure to always have a lubricated surface with water. For an even better result spray a coat of clear and then apply sealant to headlight.
@JLUDE016 жыл бұрын
In fact if you do not apply a UV clear coat or poly film like 3M the headlight will only look like new for 1-4 weeks. All that work for that? You can get a UV headlight clear coat for $10 that will last 3 years+
@mark6360 Жыл бұрын
@@JLUDE01 Right, you HAVE to put some kind of protectant on the buffed out headlights or like you said they'll be cloudy again in a few weeks, ask me how I know. I had to buff them out again but this time I'm using a clear headlight film to protect them

Great video bro! I love the vids that you do and how much you have contributed to the DIY for the 3rd Gen crew. Please do more vids for the 4th Gen. just a head ups to people that will sand their headlights. Covert the surrounding paint with tape. You do not want to miss and hit your paint around the headlight with sandpaper.

Try some insect repellent works wonders and it’s easier than sanding look for the one with the most deet which is the active ingredient and apply and scrub with rag.
@GuardianGunman5 жыл бұрын
Sonny seng DO NOT do this people. What happens is that the deet MELTS the top layer of plastic. Your headlights won’t be the same and they will leave this abrasive texture.
@tewesathemonkey4 жыл бұрын
@@GuardianGunman Yes, my neighbor said the same thing. He said that deet acts like a SOLVENT. It will eventually "break down" the top layer of plastic. There are many other great alternatives....ask around before you do anything to your headlights that will make them worse than when you started! In fact, do a very very small test area and see what happens "if" you want to see the finish results with some of the FAST REMEDIES! ;-O

My headlights (04tl) look brand new except as soon as the weather dropped a few days ago the inner corner started peeling off.
@tandaman0086 жыл бұрын
Will this method last a long time? Or are you better off hitting it with a clear coat paint after sanding?

OMG, that is absolutely incredible! MOD FOREVER, thank you so much for sharing your skills and technique on how to restore the headlights on the Acura TL! My sister and I appreciate every little detail you showed in your tutorial and thank you so much for showing the type of product to use, as well! We have LIKED you and SUBSCRIBED...looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials, especially on the Acura TL. *P.S. Do you happen to know how to get the odometer to show when it goes dim after 65,000 miles? Hum...Some people said it might need a BULB or a FUSE replaced in the odometer cluster. Mods Forever, any thoughts or advice on this?

Need your help on my Acura TL 05 it makes a whining noise from start and it ain't the pump or the idle pully and the tensioner pulley I replaced both and bought a new alternator it's giving me a headache ..

Have you done the power steering o-rings
@edarias65836 жыл бұрын
fabolousg4ever yes I did and also got a new pump but still the same noise. Some one told me it can be the pressure return line but I'm not Shure. It doesn't make noise when I turn it's whinny all the time as soon as I start the car

It will continue to yellow if it stays outside with sun rays etc within a year jet seal won't work done this same procesd with my RL. Just buff and clear wrap the headlights and you won't have to worry for years
@fabolousg4ever6 жыл бұрын
Yea clear wrap is a good idea for the people that can wrap a lot of people can't wrap bro better off just clean with compound and jetseal and just simple buff will keep it looking like new wrapping to complicated for certain people.
