As an American southerner, I absolutely love the fiddle. I could get down to this any day of the week.

Fiddling is Scandanavian so they probably got it from there. The Northern African Part in most of this stuff is mostly the blue notes+blues pickingand Banjo. Some of the melodic elements in Bluesgrass and Country are also just from like more mainstream pop music prettymuch. Also Yodeling is obviously like an old time germanic thing. The British part and Irish part are mostly probably melodic structures but it's all fit around some mix of African and Germanic stuff. Obviously Romanian Culture probably hasn't had a lot of direct contact with Africa so you can assume they probably got a lot of this stuff from either Germany or Scandanavia probably or any similarity could be trace amounts of that influence on both.

Maybe, because some of dacian.s people go into rome empire army, stationed in brittania old time ago, and there is alot of dacian.s influences, until our days, music, dances and other. Also, if i know well, some dacians artefacts, shoe, clay pots adn other, it was discovered in brittain island. Maybe this is the reason, dacians was there long time ago in rome empire army.

No, no, "sârba" is the name of the round dance performed by multiple participants equally men and women . The name is probably inspired from serbian folklore and traditionally the dance is performed in many ocasions like wedding party, sunday village celebrations in the central area of the comunity etc. Gorjenești wants to say the "sârba" is the one danced specificaly in Gorj county of Romania. What do you mean "serbs from the mountain"? There were/are no serbs in Gorj.

@Santex993 Gorj is a county in the Oltenia region, SW Romania. Yeah, its name is supposed to have come from Gorjiu (Gora Jiu), the Upper ("mountain" ) Jiu region, as Dolj is supposed to come from Doljiu (Dolu Jiu), Lower ("valley") Jiu region. So you are partially right that its something to do with mountains, but only thing related to serbs here is the musical influence, which gave those type of high tempo songs their names of "serbians". Hopefully you were just mislead by the name similarities and not trying to misinform!
