Things like an over $2,000 bill for what would have been a $10 clutch cable failure is what gets me. They now do things like put a hollowed out hydraulic slave cylinder inside the bell housing surrounding the transmission input shaft so you won't have to manually adjust a clutch however when the slave blows out you loose the clutch which is now soaked in brake fluid making it so you need a $400/$500 clutch pack along with all new hydraulics. Of course you have to remove the entire drive line along with the steering and too much of the suspension turning what use to be a 15/30 minute job into an 8 to 16 hour job. I've seen these things fail every 30 to 50 thousand miles costing you the 100/120 thousand mile clutch in the bargain making it so you can be going through 4 clutches instead of just one costing you around $6,000 to $8,000 for the privilege if you're no longer up to doing the work yourself. Then there are up to 100/200 computers in the new ones on top of all this foolishness. Vehicle designers should be forced to do all the services on their designs afterwards perhaps while being encouraged to do better by someone wielding an Electronic Computer Controlled Cattle Prod. Perhaps they'll do better next time after that. I miss the simplicity of my 1960's Power Wagons. Best!

I`d bet there is no theater within 200 miles of FabRat Ciy Utah. Oh well. Maybe a DVD chaperoned by Paul and Michelle at their place, gotta have her home by 7:30. That would be a lot for a girl that hasn`t been on a date in 20 years, maybe I`m wrong . She may have a guy every night of the week for all i know. Probably dragging it by the rear wheel like that screwed up the traction control computer, because three wheels were turning and that one wasn't. When the computer sensed all four wheels turning again it let you put it in 4x4. Those cars were not designed for offroad. They were designed to keep inexperienced drivers on the road in rain and snow.

The most beautiful thing I have seen on KZbin is Seans hi school truck . The red 65/66 short bed 4x4 is BEAUTIFUL I had a 64 as a 19 year old that was a 2x4 rollover I bought in 71 for $300 . she had teh orginal 292 that I rebuilt in75 with 312 flattops, erson cam sanderson headers and a carter afb. I put over 150,000 on it and it never burnt a quart of oil and I beat the living hell out of that motor for 20 plus years, seriously , not abused but ran to valves floated daily and bang shifter that original truck 4 speed from 2nd to 3rd and never let off the gas, again daily, and never touched the trans or the engine , ever. 20 years later and 4 separate restorations, Before the final restore, I took her from telluride to Ouray both ways ( black bear pass over Imogine pass,) and all the jeep guys could not believe I did it or it made it as hard as I pushed it. There aint no air at 14,000 feet so she was in low range 4x4 granny low a lot, rappin 6 grand up hill a lot. Finally ending up a 4x4 with air ,steering custom interior, and a two tone paint job Wimbledon white with red pearl on the top half and a deep Burgandy metallic on the bottom. voted 'the most beautiful truck in Arizona in 91 92 and 93. I gave it to my son in the but he never came to get it . Eventually I hated seeing it set and rot in the sun , so i sold her and cried the day she drove away. It was the first truck In Az to have a personalized plates "TRUKON" was her plate and her name. first truck In Az to have a personalized plate "TRUKON" washer plate and her name.
