The shop is nice, but one of the things I like about your style is the rawness and ingenuity you learned from your dad. You use what you have to create great things that are stuck together with duct tape, baling wire, and sentimental memories. It is inspirational. I am happy about your success and growth for you and your family. I am just selfishly hoping that even if you take the cowboy out of the country you cannot take the country out of the cowboy. I am trying to learn how to weld and daring to take on projects I have always been afraid to try because I can see that even the attempt is worth the outcome, and that outcome doesn't need to be perfect to be good enough. It was a little amazing seeing all the engines, heads, carbs, etc…. that came down from that storage area up above your lathe and machining tools…. Richard and Randall did a great job for you…. I like the growth in the channel that has allowed you to add the insulation to the shop…. Congratulations to both Paul and Michele, the shop looks amazing, and that icon tool box will generate a few envious comments… Can you show if the engine parts, heads, carburetors, etc get moved back upstairs to the new organized storage area ? I suspect it might not all fit when organized, or at least that has been my experience…

Love the shop improvements. That insilation is going to come in real handy in a few days, up there. I built an (12 inch) "I" beam and trolly roller winch set up that goes all the way across the shop floor and over into my overhead storage above my machine shop. This way I can winch up my engines and transmissions and roll them into the overhead storage without a fork lift. Keeps them off the floor so I'm not always tripping over them. (My forklift is one of those 5 foot tall pallet type fork lifts that you pump up with your foot and push around.) It's perfect for unloading deliveries off Semis when they back up to the shop door. Wish I had space to an small old powered Clark or something. Too many projects! LOL

I will say you have easily become my very favorite channel and can hardly wait for the next one. I think the shop looks GREAT and shouldn’t take much heat to warm it up. I have one question though Did Paul go through withdrawals from not having a shop for four weeks? I know that shop is a important part and something he is proud of. Then you spend hours looking for something, sometimes give up, get another one, only to have it show up a week later. Maybe next on your dream list will be the shop floors. I did mine 5 years ago and now I wonder how I got along without. I enjoy seeing the progress of your shop, tools, etc as $ become available there to re-invest. A guy can't have too nice of a shop or too many tools. Don't stop the repurposing of items that many just throw away, the day is coming when they will be just like gold, you already knew that. Matt and you are the best channels out there!

I'm willing to bet, the acoustics are 100% better than they were. The spray foam not only insulates against harsh temperatures, but also absorbs a lot of the louder sounds, as well.

Those big elk racks can go home with me if they need a home.. not bloody likely... but a brother can dream. ;) Back in the day when I was working out West I remember seeing "stacks" of antler near ranch houses. Maybe not like Jackson Hole but impressive just the same. In my opinion... bow hunters... are the only true hunters... If you can shoot an elk with an arrow... You have done something worthy of praise and a good elk tenderloin. Don't think much about how big they are till you have to 1/4 one to haul it up out of the draw it ran in before it dropped. Personally it's my favorite meat next to bacon. :)

You need to pain the walls and the ceiling black!!! that's the way to go 100%. It would make the shop look so sick seriously. All the awards and trophies on the wall woulda looked 10000x better with a black wall behind it. Hell everything would look better. Saw Matt from demolition ranch paint his walls and ceiling black after spray foam in his shop it looks so awesome.
