How fun Adele - I just cut out the Rivelin Ruffle dress by Izzosew. You’d probably love this dress too. The fabric I’m using is what we call cotton eyelet(same as broidery anglaise (sp)). Mine is white and I’ve had it for years hoping to make something with it! No time like the present since we’re currently going through the same heatwave that you just endured! Happy Sewing…

What a lovely thing gor your Husband to do for you. I saw a clip of the Fabric Godmother wearing this garment in BA fabric. Sorry to say this but it looked like a nightdress. But then I suppose it's a fashion trend. Not even tissue though, shame. A little bit of tissue makes us happy 😊

Hi Linda, You are not the first person to say that, I think I may use the pattern with a different fabric and save the BA for something else. I was shocked there was no tissue paper as I think its a lovely touch but never mind x

I love the colour of the fabric. I subscribe to SHJ and I love the surprise every month, but there are so many out there, its hard to chose which one to get! I look forward to seeing the dress.

Ah what a lovely new husband thing. To do ☺️ I could drop massive hints to my hubby and he never cottons on 🙄. I used to subscribe to this box in the early days and they were more lux by way of gift and thread, but I guess this is to be expected. I did also return a few duplicate patterns and exchanged for other pattern or fabric which was great advantage over other boxes.

Brownie points to your husband, that’s a lovely gift. I love the fabric and the colour of it and it looks good against your skin and colouring. I’m not keen on the pattern though, it’s a bit nightwear-ish. Compared to your other subscription boxes, I’m a little underwhelmed by this one, sorry, but thanks for sharing.

Thats Ok Gail, I think there have been better ones. I have looked at the pattern on Instagram and there are some lovely versions so I think it depends on the fabric. I may make it in a viscose and lengthen it a tad. Thanks for watching x

I think I like the looks of the SHJ box better. The issue of color of fabric to suit your own colors and a pattern I'd never use put me off of subscription boxes. I'm trying a swatching subscription (US) that I like very much.

I agree I love my SHJ box out of the two. I do like the 'Little miss sew & sew' box that I get as a brand ambassador as you can select the fabric your self and the pattern but still get the surprise gifts x

Hi, not sure if I’m seeing correctly but I thought I saw a fault in the fabric when you opened it out it’s at time spot 6:04 - 6:06 it looks like a bigger hole but might just be my eyes…. I hope I’m wrong 😑 lovely fabric.
