"This is starting to hurt my hand" I promise you nobody worth catering to wants you to do any trigger to the point of pain. You also don't need to do it at the same intensity consistently. Slowing down or variations of applied pressure is something plenty of ASMRtists do for varied sounds. Your comfort should absolutely come first.
