Its looking really good! I like the angles at the front and rear of the bed. It blends the wider bed into the narrower cab nicely. Looking forward to seeing the end product. 👍😁

I love everything that you are doing, you’re a man that thinks like I do, we have almost exactly the same tools from welders to plasma cutters to to mag drills and exactly the same two kinds of sawhorses and a lot of DEWALT tools. I’m just getting too old now to be able to use my stuff because I’m getting pretty crippled up with arthritis but I can definitely appreciate everything you’re doing, I only wish I was there helping you. Keep up the good work buddy.

Do yourself a favor and mount the junction boxes on the outside of your frame you can weld a guard for them if you think it's necessary or mount them further forward if you have any wiring problems with the current location your only options are to pull the deck wood or drop the fuel tank

This is going to be a sweet build; I ran into a guy at the hardware store who did something similar. He had a spot right behind the cab for his zero turn mower and behind that he had a dump body.

The heat shrink I use also has an adhesive that is activated by heat. Once that stuff sets it is nearly impossible to get it off the wire

Hello from the Netherlands . this is NOT a response you MUST do it like this and like this it's just a question : could you slightly adjust the sound in the videos ? and by that I mean the volume. I have a little trouble with the large volume difference between the normal workshop sound and the machines you use and then your much softer voice sound . if I then turn up the volume a bit to hear what you are saying, the volume is very loud again if there is workshop or machine sound or music again. maybe it is possible to lower the volume of the music/workshop/machine clips , or increase the sound of your voice clips ? maybe this also looks different on headphones than without . I use the headphones at home and so much so as not to disturb the other at home. thanks for the video . Sincerely, Hollandduck

I appreciate the feedback. I am still learning this video editing. Since it's all new I am using free software that has very limited features, which is why there are some glitches in the videos. It takes about a day to render and upload these videos. I will keep your suggestions in mind as I go forward and maybe if the channel advances, eventually I can afford to purchase software that does sound leveling.

@@andersonpropertymaintenanc952 thanks for your reply . the videos themselves are just good though. 👍 I have never made a video for KZbin that I edited, so I did not know this. the only video I have on KZbin is a very old video made with an old telephone here near me at the bottom of the service channel in the service train of the Westerschelde tunnel, but the image quality was already so bad from the telephone that I never made the effort with such software haha .

@@andersonpropertymaintenanc952 I think the issue is not so much the editing, but the fact that you do not use a remote mic on your person. That makes your voice very low and inconsistent when you are not near the camera.

Downhill welds are only good for thin material. The penetration is not there for thicker stuff
@justaguy4788
@justaguy4788 Жыл бұрын
That weld pulled right off the channel because it wasnt hot enough. Different material thickness will do that. preheat the thicker material to get penetration.

What model Hobart welder are you using? MVP 210?
@andersonpropertymaintenanc952

I didn't need 110v capability so I went with the less expensive 190.
@indoorroadkill3369
@indoorroadkill3369 Жыл бұрын
@@andersonpropertymaintenanc952 I recently bought the MVP. Still haven't used it, waiting for better weather. I wanted the low power capability for welding sheet metal and body work.... but the high power for frame welding, projects like this, and farm equipment... I gave up the snow management after 17 years. I was lucky and bought it on sale, plus it was a bonus kit that included the spool gun setup for welding aluminum, I want to try that too as I have an aluminum deck from a tilt n load that needs some repair. I've got high hopes for it!
@andersonpropertymaintenanc952
@andersonpropertymaintenanc952 Жыл бұрын
@@indoorroadkill3369 as far as the Hobart 190 goes I am very satisfied. The Hobart 140 was my previous welder and I was very happy with that. I can't imagine you will be disappointed with the MVP. I bought the spool gun separate two years ago and still have not used it. The only reason I went with the 190 is because it had similar output settings but was less money and if I needed 110 capability I probably would have bought the MVP like you did. I have put dozens of 11 lb rolls of wire through this, and have not had a single problem. The gun is starting to wear out a little bit, but that's just wear parts

Why would you put the relay boxes in a spot that was not assessable easily?
@andersonpropertymaintenanc952
@andersonpropertymaintenanc952 Жыл бұрын
I should have extended the wires and put the boxes further back, or pause the frame. The wires were damaged when I put the body on. And I cut them off at the damage. I didn't want 14 splices hanging out, but in hindsight, it would have been better to extend those wires. If I need to get in there, I'll just unbolt the 2 boards above.
