We have swallows that come every year for 9 years now, they poop so much and they come and make their nest by the front door,at first we tried to take their nest down but in one night they could rebuild. We gave up and just power wash in the fall. We now just count on them.

You two and the bird stories had me rolling in my rocking chair. You two are so fun and I would never miss a video. This week the smiles were few and far between in a senior home. I thank you so much for sharing your precious stories and time with a very old lady who loves all things fabric and thread. Ya’ll - the parenting and grandparenting going on is precisely what happens in our house when the grandkids are here! Whew - I thought we were abnormal, thank you for confirming the normality of our reactions 😂😂😂

Thank you for the laughter....kids and husbands....there's always laughter. Our killdeer hatched yesterday....we have four healthy babies with two great parents. Normally we have nests in the gravel circle drive (complete with colored flags) but she nested too early and we think a snake ate those eggs. So she nested on the Columbia River side of the house in the sand and yesterday the four little ones had a beach day. I can watch them for hours. I mowed on my riding lawn mower today and had to stop every five minutes to just look at them, flitting here and there. The killdeer parents are so used to my Aussie that they allow her to patrol the perimeters and they pay her no mind. We have swallows also but with the canal so close, they nest on the canal. But every evening at dusk, we see about 500 swallows fly low over our yards on bug patrol. It is a sight to see. Every morning, I have my hot tea on the patio watching a dozen robins, king birds, quail, a pheasant and his harem, and dozens of others. No outdoor cat here. My Aussie only chases the crows and those black/white magpies who are both hateful birds. So we love birds too but much prefer they don't nest on the house. Thank you for the laughter and the chat today.

I feel your son's pain regarding peanut allergy, I've never had that severe of a reaction. However, I break out in hives which is miserable. Love peanut butter but not worth the price. ❤

I like chunky peanut butter the best now also. I was raised on smooth but the peanut chunks add so much more oral satisfaction! Loved the swallow and swallowed stories!
