I've never played FaB before but I have watched a lot of content on it and there's something that I've never understood about the gameplay. Why would anyone ever choose to go first? Is there some advantage that I'm not seeing? It seems like going first puts you on the back foot the whole game, being forced to spend all of your cards defending then never having any left to attack with.

sometimes you just do a setup turn, playing an item/aura or simply put a card in arsenal to start next turn with 5 cards. others you have a lot of dominate cards and you can send some damage (and on hit abilities) to the other side- i basically lost a match against a Bravo dominating a Spinal Crush on the 1st turn against my Azalea...

Yeah, it really depends on the deck / gameplan. If setup is important, then go first. In an aggro matchup you probably want to go second. Letting Dash go second here was maybe a poor choice.
