When you do the potatoes...Cut the sweet potatoes into Chunks. making sure each section of the potatoes has "eyes" so they sprout. It can take weeks for them to sprout. I get the aldi pork loins, flavored kind. And I cook them in the air fryer. They are delicious.

The cracks in the pots you could tape the inside with duck tape , I bought some on clearance and did that and they held up

We always cut the sweet potatoes in half when we started them, cut side down in the water. That was quite a haul! Lucky you, enjoy!

Great haul. Love the outdoor stuff. The flowers are beautiful. Great find on the meat and it being cold. I don’t know about sweet potatoes but reg potatoes I have always cut in half with an eye on each piece to plant. 🥰

For the pots use clear flex tape. Works great. Handy to have to. Roses love banana peels. I do other plants to. Puts nutrients in the soil. For the solar plant use a plastic clear top off of something, even the fruit cup could be used. Glue it on and it will protect the light from the weather. Just some ideas. I love watching your videos. Good luck on the potatoes.

Wonderful haul as always. I take meat year round. Cvs has small styrofoam coolers easy to keep in your car. I think all that you do is awesome . Love the yard, cats, chics, etc.

Use Gorlia tape (it is black) on those cracks. They won't leak. Try it and just fill them with water to check. Get the potatoes at a nursery, they are cheap.

For your yams...try just cutting them in half....put in paper bag...and put them in a dark dry cool room...should have sprouts in a week or 2....good luck to you

Nothing frustrates me more than stores throwing good food and all to trash. Yes there are policies, regulations etc.for that. Good that some give those to foodbanks and others dumpster dive.

It really depends on when the trash is picked up from your local store. Mine gets picked up on Tuesday and Friday mornings, so it's most full on Monday and Thursday evenings. It really all depends on when they throw out the "good" stuff though, it truly changes every week. I've found awesome finds on every day, at every time of day before. Goodluck!

Root them in water cut them in half put toothpicks in the cut half and sit them down in a glass so they don’t all emerge the pointed end hose in the water they will root.

Cut the sweet potatoes eyes and plant them that way. They will sprout in the ground

if you want to root the potatoes, just forget about them in a dark cabinet and eventually they will start sprouting....and you just put them in the ground when they do....!!
