I see you have reviewed a few Fabulous E-bikes. Now that you have had them for a while how are they holding up? Any issues with any components?

Hi Jeff. These bikes are amazing. I've had no issues at all. They are very robust and reliable.

@@1234Pobs Thank you. I recently purchased the new Trail step Elite w/ the torque sensor. I really like it so far.

Excellent Review, very informative. Looks like a good bike at a good price. Good motor, 20 amp battery combined with a 52 tooth front crank.

Thanks for your comment. The bike has great range too. I have been riding up to 80km with plenty of battery power left. I love this bike

Very interesting bike! Sorry if I missed it, but how long does it take to charge the battery from flat?
@1234Pobs7 ай бұрын
It takes about 5 hours to completely recharge

Is you can only take the throttle?? Are you still satisfied with your bike??
@1234Pobs Жыл бұрын
I think you are asking if you can ride by using the throttle only. The answer is yes. Using the throttle only is loads of fun when your just felling like having a chill ride. As for still being satisfied with my bike. I absolutely love it. So much so that I have even been out riding at -4C. It was very cold but I wrapped up warm. It was a great ride !

Are you living in the US or Canada? Because here in Canada bikes needs to be 500 watts max to be street legal. But a lot of people drive 750w + and it doesnt look to be a problem for the law, at least, for now.🤷
@1234Pobs Жыл бұрын
I live in Canada (Montreal Area) and yes you are correct in the 500 watts is the legal limit for Canada. Many bike manufactures are advertising 750 watt motors and are sold downrated to 500 watts. It comes down to the individual to program the controller up to 750 watts if desired. That's where mine is set and i love it

@@1234Pobs I wonder if someday police will check that... Meanwhile, anybody can ride what they want because they doesnt check that. I live in Granby, not very far from Montréal ans that's why I bought a 500w as a first ebike because I wanted to be trouble free for the law.🤷 Sometimes I'd like to have a bit more torque and top speed lol But I still like my Amazon ebike so far, paid 1500$ for it the last summer.

@@joelsimard1148. You live in Granby. We love riding there around the lake. As for the cops, I doubt very much if they will start checking but i guess you never know.

What is the top speed lf this bike? With pedaling or juste throttle
@1234Pobs Жыл бұрын
The top speed at my weight (255 pounds) with no wind and level ground is 42 kph (26mph). It doesn’t matter if it’s pedal assist or just throttle. This top speed is consistently reached.👍

@@1234Pobs Ok that's pretty good. My 500 watts Amazon ebike tops at around 35 km/h. Those Fabulous bikes are interesting. Made in Québec also, the province I live. 👍🏻

I have searched but I cannot find any information on this bike with regard to the amount of assembly. Can you comment on this issue? Thank You

Hi David. I have not participated in the assembly of these bikes but I have seen them being assembled at Fabulous. It's pretty much a no brainer for anybody that has a general idea on how to use basic tools.

I live in Nevada and once out of the box you will need to connect the handlebars, install the front wheel, the seat and pedals.

@@1234Pobs Thank you Robert for your reply. I bought the bike, same as yours but step thru. Very impressed with this bike. I do have a question I cannot seem to find an answer to. When I measure voltage on the battery off the bike on full charge I read 48V. However, on the bike the computer says 53 or 54V. Can you shed any light on this?

@@jrb737 Thank you Jeff for your reply. I did buy the bike and assembly was easy. I do have a question if you can help. On a fully charged battery off the bike it shows 48V on my multimeter. However, when the battery is on the bike the computer shows the voltage at 53 - 54 V. Can you shed some light on this disparity?
@jrb737 Жыл бұрын
@@davidmondoux6511 Unfortunately I can't help you with that. Give the owner, Lampro, a call and he will be happy to explain. I asked him why the bars on my LCD screen were down to 1 bar at 46.5 volts, but the indicator on the back of the battery itself it was indicating 2 out of 3 green bars and one red bar. He said at 46.5 volts the battery had about half or more remaining which would be what the battery indicator in the battery itself was indicating. He said to go by the volts on the screen and not so much the battery bars. Just don't go below 42 volts. Please let us know what his response is to your question if you contact him.

@@1234Pobs I cant decide between that model and this one here. You have ridden both what do you think? Im not a hard core bike rider. Ive been wanting to get one to do a bit of exercise and just for cruising too. Im 5'11 and do want to pedal every now and then. I kind of like the lower center of gravity of the EMX and overall footprint/size. I dont like the idea of a foldable, and this looks to be the same size of some of the foldables. Thanks!
@1234Pobs4 ай бұрын
@@whoanelly- In reading your riding preference both bikes will meet your needs however I think the Z750 may be better suited to you and here's why. The Z750 is a an e-bike that compares in size to many of the similar style e-bikes you see on the road today. It is great for casual cruising and i do this a lot when out riding with my wife. If you want a workout then set the bike in high gear and pedal assist at level 1,2 or 3. You'll get good exercise in this mode without too much speed. The EMX extreme is a very powerful bike (that's why I nicknamed it "the beast") but for exercise you can set it in single motor mode and do the same gear set-up as described above. The only difference here is that the EMX will carry you a little faster even though your running on the same size motor. On the EMX, the 20 inch wheels definitely give you a lower center of gravity but honestly, I don't feel the difference that much. The price point of of the two bikes may end up being your deciding factor but I think that the Z750 may be a better fit. ADDITIONAL INFO. I now have almost 2500 Kilometers (1550 miles) on my Z750 and I have really worked it hard. I have had not one single problem which says a lot about Fabulous. All of their bikes are very high quality. I really hope this helps Good luck

@@1234Pobs I appreciate this, it does help. Im actually looking at the single motor version of the EMX IF I do pull the trigger, but you're right the price difference is a hard justificatoin even on the single model version vs a Z750. My brain is saying Z750, my heart and innner child is saying the EMX lol. One thing for sure, I am totally buying from them. Thanks again.
