I have yet to hear/see Linda Perry’s reaction, but to be honest, the original song was a major hit in the 90’s and is still is a major classic. I don’t think you can compare both songs successes as they were released at very different times. Quite hard to measure in internet points a radio/MTV/Album-Single Sales.
