As someone with a diamond shaped face, I think we are a rare breed and celebrity examples of this shape are usually wrong. The only woman shown here who actually has a diamond face is Halle Berry. Also I would say the advice for blush placement here is also not the best. Although blush right on the cheekbone like that can look fine, it looks MUCH softer and more youthful if you actually do use an "expanding shade" but place it in the center of your face ONLY, under the eyes on the top of the apples of your cheeks. You can further emphasize that by placing a soft metallic highlighter only on the tops of the apples, NOT up along the bone. The contour on the very sides of the cheekbone, the matte highlighter at the temples, and the softer shaped brows is all solid advice though. 👍

Do diamonds have a square shaped jaw? I got 2122 but in the results it says they have a sharp chin!

​@@hihohoehiehi No, diamonds wouldn't have a square jaw, but that's a different area of the face than your chin. The jaw width would be measured from the area below your ears, and it should be narrower than your cheekbones to be diamond. But also the chin doesn't have to be super pointy for your whole face to look diamond shaped, but it should be a defined chin and not one that kind of blends into the jawline if that makes sense. Honestly the biggest tell that you are diamond is if your temples are "sunken in" a little bit. No other face shape has this feature. From the top of your cheekbones you should see a pretty clear / \ shape. If you looked at your face at a 3/4 angle you can see how your brows are sort of forward compared to your temples so they don't "blend" into the edges of your face, there's kind of a bony ridge there.

@@hihohoehiehi I have both protruding cheekbones and a square jaw and chin. I simply combined the tips from Diamond for the cheekbones and temples and tips from Square for the jawline. Also, I have found great videos about Peanut shaped faces that were very helpful to me.

Also diamond faced shape here and I do the same! I think putting blush in the center only and it flatters my face more. I used to dislike my face shape growing up but I grew to like it ;) it makes my whole face more prominent

Advice for diamond face shape girlies from my experience! Wavy/curly hair suits us more than straight har, and if u don't want heat on your hair, make two french braids before sleeping, let them stay overnight and you'll have the most gorgeous looking waves in the morning! Do not keep middle hair parting as it makes our face look even slimmer, to have an hair part tht suits u the most , make a parting that is in the same line as the inner corner of your eye, it looks super pretty on us!😍

Once I learnt about colour values for my digital art, it completely changed my makeup too because that theory applies everywhere. I really recommend learning about colour values which is basically the darkness or whiteness of a colour. This will help you learn about contrast too which is crucial for makeup, clothing and hair colouring to compliment your skin colour.

I can paint but I can't do make up 😂 honestly blending for make up is so hard for me compared to using any other medium. But I agree on the color theory knowledge. Makes a huge difference in fashion.

@@rymmmmm for example, learn about your seasonal palette. I'm a deep winter so I'll talk about that. A deep winter has very high contrast so lips, eyes and hair is much darker than the skin. This applies to all races since it's only about contrast and temperature. With this knowledge, I know that I need to have vibrant, high contrast makeup (bright red lips or dark eye shadow, for example) to make myself appear the most harmonious. Ofc I can wear nude lips too and I won't look bad, but I wouldn't look as put tigether as I would with red lips. whereas my sister who is a deep autumn, suits nude lipsticks more than deep red lipsticks, and looks more attractive with values that match her contrast level, because nude lip shades have lower contrast to reds, which matcher her low contrast eyes and hair. It just depends on the vibe you want to give off. If you want to look put together and 'clean', following your colour palette to a T can give that vibe but breaking those rules makes you appear more unique like tomboyish, goth, glamorous etc. Another example is eye liner or contouring. Black is high contrast even on dark skin, that's why it is used to eyeliner no matter the race you are because it creates a false shadow above your eyes, making them appear bigger. We use a much darker, (low value), colour than our skin to create contouring because it gives the illusion of shadows. Highlighting is the opposite- colours which are lighter than your skin bring your face forward and give the illusion of a high nose, or cheekbones, etc.

wow i thought i was an oval face but im actually a diamond and it opened my eyes so much like this makes sense now with the hair styles that work for me and now the contouring! i tried the western follow the hollow technique and i hate it and ditched contouring for a long time until now. following the diamond contouring technique and taking in consideration of my asian cheekbone structure, it literally changed my view on myself and i actually love contouring now. I got the same, it’s kind of like inverted triangle shape, at least for me. It’s veering between heart and oval, so you can take from both shapes tips to get your desired look. The different is the foreheads presence isn’t as exaggerated as heart w inverted triangle.

mine's a combination of both & this video confirms that. upper half of my face is diamond & lower half is oval (i don't have a pointy or square chin). so when watching beauty tips that's face shape related like this, i just combined both suggestions for diamond & oval faces. you could be a hybrid as well. 🙂

There are 3 more face shapes according to visagism theories: straight base hexagon, straight sided hexagon and inverted triangle. I have a question, is there an error? My result is 2113, but according to the result I would be round. Meanwhile result 2213 would be considered oval. The 2nd number is based on long vs shorter face so I don't get how longer face is considered round while shorter face is considered oval?

i got 2221 and was supposed to have a diamond face shape, but i don't actually think i have diamond face shape. the brightest points of my appearance is that my face is pretty short, my forehead is very large and wide, my cheekbones are very slightly wider than my forehead, my jaw is pretty wide and angular but still narrower than my cheeks. My chin is also very pointy and narrow. I don't think i can classify my face shape to any of those on the list, and i think it's the deal for the majority of people Video is still very useful and I love your content as it really helps getting better in makeup, but i don't think the part with face shape classification was require Thank you anyways❤

According to the test i got round even after chnaging it slightly a second time to be more accurate but then ur explanation of the shape faces i was inline with oval shape. In other test i am mostly oval. 1 other test i got round besides this one. Also I wouldve liked more makeup info on oval shape.

Hey, I hope so can help me I have 1123 or 2123 since my cheekbones and my forehead at the exact same width if I draw the line right above my forehead (7.4) but if I go higher it goes down to 7 cm I am going to drop my measurements maybe so can help me ..
