Face Jugs: Tradition, History and Innovation. Many examples of the Face Jugs created by African American Slaves in the mid 1800s in Edgefield, South Carolina are shown. The traditions, history and uses of these vessels are discussed. Face Jugs created by contemporary artists Clayton Bailey, Kemper Stone and Marc Lancet are also presented.
