Similar. Two major reasons: so he doesn't pick up energy and sometimes it encourages/reminds the client to deep breathe. When the client is deep breathing, their muscles will be relaxed and receptive for deeper massage.

Why rub the ears?
@brandonraynor5 жыл бұрын
Good question since most people think massage is all about muscles, tendons and ligaments and don’t understand the underlying life energies that create tension or blockages in the first place. We massage the ears, even thought they are cartilage, to unblock the flow of chi, or life force that has become congested in that area.
@huckjeffrey50575 жыл бұрын
@@brandonraynor Taking care of the ears is also a good relaxation and reflexology technique as well. It is great seeing you hitting some of the lesser known zones. One reason why I love watching your videos because I can always see and learn new things.

Rupturing someone’s abdomen would be terrible. Have you seen someone do that. I certainly don’t teach that....
@andrewkloak80474 жыл бұрын
Would definitely be careful about the abdominal massage. There very delicate organs in that area, you should also watch out for those lungs. You were just forcing all of his air out. Thankfully you were being that harsh but any more and you could cause serious bodily harm. This is from a medical student.

Yes I can see you are a student, whereas I am a Naturopath with 30 years experience so I know exactly what I am doing and I use the right amount of pressure to suit the patient
@andrewkloak80474 жыл бұрын
@@brandonraynor It's hilarious that you think Naturopathy is a valid "practice". It's pseudoscience, there is nothing real about it. You sell it to your patients because it sounds nice. You aren't rooted in modern medicine or reality for that matter, you're a fraud. Exuse me for trying to be polite, I merely advised you to be careful. Ah I see now, you're afraid to lose clients. Sorry that your "medicine" is nothing more than a hoax.

Brandon Raynor's School of Natural Therapies great comeback! I love it!
@Softball-jz4xj4 жыл бұрын
Andrew Kloak okay here’s some science for you. You have your body. It’s FULL of billions of neurons. Each one has some sort of energy passing through it. Well, whenever the body has inflammation, it’s hard for that energy to get through. When he’s massaging, he’s releasing that tension that has blocking those neurological pathways. There has been actual scientific evidence that states massage is not only good for the body but also the mind. Another thing, you might say you’re a medical student (I don’t think you actually are), but this kind of unprofessionalism is not tolerated by any sort of medical professional. This speaking from an actual resident.
