Face Moulds Tutorial Zoe's Fancy Cakes

I bought the small Gemma and small Brad face and body moulds at Cake International Nov 23. Like many cake artists I have a scabillion cake-making tools but these are some of my absolute favourites and I’m going to add to my collection in November at CI this year. Thanks so much, you clever lady! I made models before but this speeds up the process immeasurably. I’m about to make 9 male and female faces to put into frames on a cake and one of the things that is so cool is that once made they can be manipulated into different looking faces to get likenesses for real people. I was told by your salesperson that they could be used as a great starting point for a face, not just the generic Gemma, Brad etc. Obvious but yet not obvious! It swung the decision for me and it’s one of my best ones! Thank you 🙏🏻❤

Zoe, I love that your moulds are not just available to buy them but also that you are giving a tutorial on how to make them . I have always been massively afraid ,hesitant and not confident enough to make faces but your step by step somehow gives me the encouragement to give them a try and that I can get there . Hi, I've received mine and can't wait to try it out...I'm thinking of making a batch of about 5 or 6 faces so I can save some time later...just wanted to know how long they'll keep for and the best way to store them? (I'm going to use Saracino modelling paste). :)

I definitely would love to see a male mould. So many of these tend to be of female characters, but it would be nice to get some hints on how to decorate a male face without ending up with him looking like he's wearing make up (not that there's anything wrong with guys wearing makeup, but it's not always the look you want)!
