He reminds me of the worst customers that come into a retail store to monotone rant at the cashier because they have nothing better to do and get-off on trapping people with mixing metaphors, incomplete thoughts, gaslighting, creating confusion, projection, turning the tables, not answering the direct question...it's a slippery slope.. won't admit what he pleaded guilty for bc he probably took a plea-bargain. He sounds Certified. To quote: "I gave a good Native-American war-cry..." says a non-Native American culturally appropriating white man of OBVIOUS PRIVILEGE (just got pardoned). He is a victim too, of course, but also the master-planner who "staged the whole thing," a victim of his own causes, his own choices, and his own arrogance. That is to say, he is "demonized" by his own actions and yes, I have experienced solitary confinement and had basic needs completely stripped, it's not a badge, nor relevant and he is in obvious need of psychiatric help for trauma. His existence is a gotcha moment, "no offense," while making demeaning, belittling statements. Making a claim to "special," knowledge, and the constant use of one-upmanship is really quit pathetic, and mocking anyone's accent (terribly) is immature. Classy exit on the JOURNALISTS part lmaoooo. BBC is the shit, fool.

@@zmo1ndone502 Most of the time you take a plea deal (say you are guilty even tho you aren't) cause if it goes to court, the sentence will be 10 times longer. It also would have cost him more than $100,000 in legal fees and can take years sometimes. The whole court process is worst than jail if you say you are innocent. This is also why men don't fight for custody of their children after a divorce cause just like this guy, the legal system is against men and anyone that leans to the Right.

@@KathleenHammett-hr1gy You are either unfamiliar with the US justice system or you are lying. Plea deals are common, they are more common that cases actually going to trial, the gap between sentences if gound guilt at trial and those handed out in a plea deal can reach decades, a factor of ten or more. You are delusional if you believe that somebody taking plea deal in the US is a serious admission of guilt. What he describes at 5:00 is also common. People take the plea deal because that means they will get out eventually rather than risk going to trial and getting decades. They take plea deals because terrible conditions in prison break them down. Plea deals only help the system speed up the process and the guilty to serve less time. In a better system the difference between a plea deal and a guilty verdict at trial would be less severe and innocent people or those innocent of certain charges would go to trial, like the majority of cases. This is NOT currently the case: 98% of cases are plea bargained. www.npr.org/2023/02/22/1158356619/plea-bargains-criminal-cases-justice#:~:text=In%20any%20given%20year%2C%2098%25%20of%20criminal%20cases,a%20new%20report%20from%20the%20American%20Bar%20Association. This is all completely independent of him him being involved in the January 6 stuff. Now on that note, if you ask me guy´s a fuggin nutcase and certainly deserved some sort of punishment, though I would be very hesitant to support what the prosection asked for because they tend to go overboard in general and in the Jan6 cases there was a strong incentive to make an example of people. The scope of the people charged and the conviction rate is a bit high for my taste. Oh and I refuse to believe the BBC lady is ingorant of this fact regarding plea bargains.

When I hear the real reasons the protest became a riot from the released political prisoners, I am transported back to the protests in Seattle, Wa during the World Trade Organization back in the 1990s that also was peaceful until Police began spraying innocent protesters with pepper spray and tear gas. I remember thinking it seemed like the Government was studying what they could get away with in violating people's rights and citizens believing what they are told by the police who were the aggressors. Obviously I was right back then!

I love that you can be escorted peacefully by police officers as seen on multiple cameras and still be charged with "remaining without lawful authority"

The truth is out there. He was part of the insurrection on January 6, 2021. He was part of the crowd that broke into the capital on the orders of Donald Trump. The truth is out there, sweetheart. It’s whether you choose to accept it.

Tear gas was the reason for any injuries and the death of 3 officers. No he was sitting in an office talking to officers. They were threatened for 20 years in jail is why they put in guilty verdict

Many plead guilty to accept 4 years in a plea, rather than $100 of thousands of dollars in court fees and 30 years in prison.

That’s if you’re found guilty. If you’re not guilty then you shouldn’t plead guilty if you know the truth and have proof then you’d be found innocent

Yeah, that's if you are found guilty. If he was truly innocent he could've plead innocent! You'll probably say "Waa waa but he would've been locked up anyways because of the dirty liberals". No, he wouldn't. If he was innocent and there was no evidence against him then he would've been fine.... But well... He wasn't exactly innocent was he?

She acts like she doesn't know pleading Guilty isn't a safer (more cost-effective and/or time-in-prison risk saving) option in this country despite a person's Guilt OR Innocence. I'd like to tell her that pleading Guilty in this country is not the Ace in the hole her tone seems to imply that it is.

Of course! They all to / forced to plead guilty - plea deal, or face extreme charges , conviction, punishment! No one went into the Capitol to STOP the procedure but to voice their opinion.
