How many of the rioters were involved in violence? The last segment makes it sound like all 1500 were, but that is clearly not the case. I have heard multiple reports about people prosecuted for merely being present at the scene but were not even charged with any violent acts.

Rioters were not persecuted, they were charged. Of course, different defendants were charged with different things based on their behaviors. Please remember that entering the capital in any way that day was a violation of law, because it was closed to the public for security reasons to handle the certification of the presidential election. Criminal trespass is a thing. If a law enforcement officer tells you not to enter, but you enter anyway.....that's a problem. Joining a wild mob, that's a problem that puts you and everyone else in danger. Engaging in hand to hand combat with law enforcement officers who told you not to enter..... I just can't anymore.......Use critical thinking in the future. Most people pled guilty to their offenses, so I don't understand the persecution theory. Maybe there is one person who is trying to manipulate Jan 6th to his favor so that he can avoid jail time for his crimes. Hmm.....

I find your story hard to believe. She was likely charged with criminal trespass, disrupting a government proceeding, participating in a mob, all true. Her public defender would have made sure that she was not charged with theft if there was no proof of that crime. Even an incompetent public defender would have caught that. These guys were sprayed with bear spray and other chemicals for hours. The exertion of the hand to hand medieval combat was extreme. Many officers received head injuries, and the after effects of severe concussions are quite dangerous. So although that particular officer died the following day, there is no question that his death was related to the combat of Jan 6th. Doctors who were involved in his case made that medical determination. Do you have more familiarity with his case? Would you like to compare your medical degree with that of the attending physician? Did you examine the patient? Be respectful of the pain this law enforcement officer suffered, and the pain of his family after his passing.

Yes, it was commuted. That means he is still under the supervision of the court. The judge in his case has already issued orders reminding him of that fact. There is now an order in place that Rhodes cannot enter DC without the permission of his court. We cannot be overwhelmed by the firehose of falsehoods and misinformation and WH actions. She was trying to crawl through the broken window to access the House floor and the lawmakers who were still sheltering there. At the very least, that is called breaking and entering.
