WHOOOAAA! Face to Face is one of my all time favorite bands. Their sound, lyrics, energy has had huge impact on my life and shaping me into the human I am. Also impacted people in my life I hold dear to my heart. Face to Face litterly changed the course of mine and others lives when we were teens in the 90s. "Disconnected" in particular is a song that spoke to me the second I heard it. I listen to Disconnected all the time and everytime I go riding my bike. To hear it in this version... Floods my heart and mind with a range of emotions, memories, thoughts. There is litterly 25yrs of tears rolling down my face right now and I don't care. Music is powerful and this is an example of that. I'm blown away right now!!

This is an awesome rendition of this song. I saw them do an all acoustic show doing there Ignorance is Bliss album a few years ago. Was an awesome show, and being a long time fan was a special moment to see the songs stripped down to that. I can't wait for this album. A fan since 92' ,and the vibe, lyrics, and just overall message of this band is one of the best there is...... I wish the show we attended with the Ignorance album done acoustically was recorded. They had a full 3 piece string ensemble with them was a really good show. Also for all those haters out there of the Ignorance album I personally think it is one of their best albums. I wish they did more albums like that. I love everything they do, but was a good break from there normal get up.
@pathetic266 жыл бұрын
Derek Moreno .I agree,for me I instantly loved "ignorance is bliss" but I also understand why people didn't enjoy it seeing how big of a departure it was from their typical sound.I always believed it would be looked back on as an extremely underrated album and have a resurgence much like Weezer's "Pinkerton" album.Will always believe that face to face don't get the recognition for their lyrics like they should.The acoustic renditions of these songs are gonna showcase the lyrics that much more which is awesome. Really regret not seeing the tour where they played ignorance is bliss.I'm jealous of all who went to those shows.lol

Derek Moreno “Ignorance” is such a overlooked album and probably my second favorite of F2F catalog. Wish they would of done a follow up to that albums sound.

Quote From Trever Keith 2013 "Seems to be a little bit of a trend acoustic music happening with pop rock bands in recent years and then growing a little bit and that's cool and everything but this is a very different kind of spin that we put on it and in our typical fashion we always like to rebel against everything. It seems like we're always on the wrong side of what we should be doing but this is like our way of doing acoustic music that feels right for us. I can't see us out there doing disconnected and I want and punk rock stuff in an acoustic way because the songs just aren't meant to be acoustic. They're more visceral and powerful and Urgent and kind of need to have the drums and bass and all that stuff to play the songs properly. They just sound a little pedestrian to play acoustic."
