It’s simple yet thought-provoking. It’s elegant yet raw. It’s the most personal and devoted worship song I’ve heard in recent history that reminds me why as a follower of Christ I do the things I do. It was during a season where I faced a lot of new questions and challenges in my journey in production. In moments of weariness where I couldn’t think straight in the middle of our busy season, I would start to think about where I was at. I would recall all the things that I do for God’s kingdom, and I wonder if I’m doing enough and if it’s all worth it. And then I listen to this song and I’m reminded that God changes the doubt to trust. He changes the questions to answers. He changes not enough to good enough. He changes the perspective from an elder who has seen God move hundreds of times to the point of it being normal, to someone young who finds Christ for the very time and sees it as holy. It’s an unreal experience encountering God’s Presence for the first time because He is higher than this world. It's like knowing someone who wants to help you as He waited for an eternity to meet you, YOUR eternity. It's like knowing someone who knows your struggle because He felt it on the cross, and He still rose above it. It's like perceiving someone telling you that you got this because He will guide you step by step, and His plans are always good. It's like grasping someone who overtakes your senses and takes you to a place where He is there, all while never leaving the room. And this encounter alone wants you to dive further, holding less back each time you worship Him. Learning what honors Him and aspire to live a blameless life. Being receptive to His Spirit, so that He can give you the things to say and to do. And forever aiming to be the child of God that he chose you to be. Face To Face has helped me to close this year with a realignment on why I have a life in production, and why I run lighting. In a moment of being in God's Presence, He gave me a purpose. This calling is from God, and I will never take for granted what He has given me to help others find Him.
