Life isn't built uppon only to appreciate the "small" things, usually everything could call themself "small things" - some things happen for a reason. A melted face objectivly is connected with a tragedy, it's not like people hate or don't like the person it's just the appearance that tells story. In that case, medicine did a good job there, healed a big mental dissorder. They sealed the deal.

Considering how many things are considered normal nowdays, if I wanted to take nothing for granted, I would spend 2 days awake thanking god for allowing me to have all them, before I go back to sleep. Humans by nature take things for granted so they don't have worries. It's kinda similar to you not caring as much if you just hear some rando a few million miles away died from heart attack. If you spent all day being sad for people you have no idea existed but died, you would go insane. Same for the granted part.

not creepy at all to me, I think it's miraculou and because it's a different bone structure, he doesn't look like the other man

And that is also why face transplants are a bit rare, people take it as a morality thing. But in the end even with the face transplant you wont end up looking like the other dude. Your face structure, and his are two completely different things, also add the weird swelling that does not seem to completely go away. I find it even more creepy having someone else's heart beating inside you, then someone else's face attached to my skull.

@Richard Quinones Nice! But probably true. I'm told that they are trying to create man without souls so that they can be inhabited by the fallen angels like in Genesis 6. This this is what's really meant by the term "as in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the last days" I'm told.
