In this video, David Goggins talks about how a year has come and gone but a lot of us are in the same place as we were last year. We start making promises to ourselves but a lot of us can't do things on our own. You need that accountability partner. Everybody has New Year's resolutions at this time to get healthier, but very few times do people actually do it. A confrontation is coming and that confrontation is you vs you. It's going to be you and your mind...the demon (your mind) comes out and discourages you. People see how much he works out and think he's running from demons. But it's discipline. He says that he is a disciple of discipline. You can't outrun the demons. Look at them eye to eye and overcome them! Stop waiting for tomorrow, to do something today!

It’s crazy because I’ve listened to a lot of motivators and public speakers over the years, only Les brown and Goggins had really said the truth one hundred percent with no bs. I feel like he’s speaking directly to me when talking about facing your demons, about being lazy and doing nothing about what you want to do, etc. He might be…’colorful’ in language but he’s completely one hundred percent right in what he says. The mind is your greatest weapon and it WILL defeat you if you let it, you need to show it who’s boss and who running the show. It doesn’t get much more raw and honest about your demons WILL find you, you can’t outrun them…only solution is to face those mf’ers!

Mad respect to this man. Im in a place of uncertainty in my life. On disability with a back that doesn't seem to want to get better. All ive done is physical work and trying to do something different is a bitch. Its scary and uncomfortable. Some days are ok and some says i cant get out of bed. Really fucks with me mentally. He really hit me today when I was listening and he said it’s so important to show your mind who’s boss because even if it gets away from you for a second, it can cost the shot at navy seals training, it can cost you becoming a doctor or a lawyer, etc. It hit me as paramount that IM the one controlling my brain, not the other way around. I needed that because I’ve been struggling too and I’ve decided to say no more. And not just say, but showing that I mean NO MORE. Stay hard!

I was raised by my grandmother and mom and aunt. No father, no grandfather, uncles never around. I started running, swimming and biking and developed a bit of confidence in that way. I graduated high school and started partying and drinking a lot. I got married and had kids then got lazy just working everyday. Im 44 now and just found David Goggins, he’s saying and doing all the things i want to say and do. I’ve stopped smoking and started running again! Holy crap! Thank you David! You brought me back from the dead! I just hope my kids see the things I do and learn from it because things are tough all over right now. Thanks again David! STAY HARD!

Everybody goes through one trial or another. You have got to be strong and you have to know that you are not the only one in such a situation. I encourage you to download many more David Goggins videos and listen to them at least 3 times daily. It will give you a lot of energy and motivation.
