Good coverage guys. Good job. There needs to be action on companies like Facebook. Hope our regulators know what to do. However, I really don’t think highly of Facebook. Which is why I have reduce to using FB once a month. I don’t feel they are doing enough to prevent scams. Even if our Government knows what to do, I can’t imagine FB taking scams seriously. Maybe cause we are a small country? The amount of specific censorship FB can do, I seriously believe FB can do all these scam prevention.

Malaysia government is too slow to act on such scam ads at the cost of Malaysian being cheated through Facebook scam ads. Is it because META paying huge taxes to Malaysia government hence turning a blind eye to the suffering of Malaysian victims of scams? Swift action should be taken against META indifferent attitude. New laws should be passed to prevent further online scam ads making online platform responsible to victims losses and pay for the losses even if platform has placed disclaimer notice.
