I think its hilarious that we CHOSE to spend all that money on certain plants back then and now prices dropped. But the thing is... the fun, the escape and the introduction to a cool hobby is what makes that time period priceless.

indeed it was a very interesting time. Rona got me scared to buy from overseas it made it double the risk since customs was killing plants too. now I see a ton of people from Indonesia with crazy inventory that might not even move.

Costa is gonna bang out Thai Constellations here soon. I saw a plant tour and they have dedicated acres to that plant in particular. They're only holding back the release so they can flood the market.

thanks for the heads up I wonder what the price point will be for the big box stores if they release them there.

I loved this video. You seem like a kind person but you keep a balanced perspective. I feel like most plant people are generally nice but some just seem to stick around for gotcha moments. It can hurt my spirit too. It’s okay to feel bummed for others but there’s nothing wrong with moving on and finding the humor in it all too. Good stuff! And I totally felt for the person that hates their plants after spending too much. I couldn’t hate all mine. But… there’s one or two getting on my nerves for different reasons 😂

I'm no saint but I do try to see different perspectives. I also agree about most plant people too they are generally nice people especially the ones with many plants. They generally are nurturing uplifting people since they have the ability to care for many plants. it like second nature. 🌿

Before rona I did plant yard sales but when the rona came to town all yard sales were shut down! So I haven’t gotten back into selling plants again. Maybe next season.

I got a rooted 2 leaf variegated adansonii for $150. I can't imagine paying $700 for an unrooted cutting that's crazy! I like that the prices are still a but high but also more accessible so easier to flip.

that's is what's up, I would've definitely payed the same for that too but yes 700 is not what's up

How did you find an importer with good prices? Would love to try importing but terrified of getting scammed.
