Hi again!!! This messenger room feature really upset me. I had scheduled a virtual birthday party with 36 people and the room only allowed 15 people in and it said my room was full. It did not allow anyone else in the room. I did not lock the room nor removed anyone. I’m so confused on why did this happen because the max capacity is 50 people. 😡😩do you know why did this happened?

Sorry, no idea. You'd want to check in with Facebook to see what might have caused that. It could have just been a bug, or maybe the system was at capacity, or something like that...

I did a quick test run with two other people earlier and it was super easy for them to join. Didnt need to go via Facebook. Share the link, they click and they inside. And you can lock the room. (Bridgetti)

Just picking up on a comment at 4.25 Luria, about Virtual Camera on Zoom. From my frustrating experience, the 4.6.9 update removed virtual camera and wasn't returned in Version 5. 😂 Do you know if Zoom has commented on this? If Messenger enables it, it would be a big +++ for them! There is hardware solution that is great but it's a hit to cost and elegance of setup.

I'm getting mixed reports - some people can still do it, others can't. Zoom may or may not add it back? Honestly, no solid answer as far as I know.

The trick is to make sure you are not booting up with Chrome. Open up Ecamm first or Xsplit or whatever other virtual camera you are using. Then and only then open up Chrome and Zoom. Any other way and it is not going to work. I'm running the latest version of Chrome and upgraded to the latest version of Zoom too and my virtual camera is working because I follow the process religiously. I did a post with screenshots in the Ecamm Live Beta group because others had this enquiry too. (Bridgetti)

@@BLiveMediaTV My issue isn't related to Chrome as I don't use a browser in my setup, which is: Panasonic GH4 | BlackMagic Mini Recorder | Thunderbolt | mimoLive | Zoom. All fine up to and including Zoom V4.6.8. Then from the Manycam forum I gather Zoom removed permissions for virtual camera and Apple also issued a security patch with a sandbox around virtual camera. As reported on that forum, if the camera is not visible on say PhotoBooth, it wont be visible on Zoom, which I find to be the case for my setup. I intend to replace the Mini Recorder with an ATEM Mini Pro using USB-C which the Mac sees as a webcam when stock become available. I hope this will solve the issue. Three setup are important for me: NUMBER 1. Multicam recording; using mimoLive as a graphics generator | ATEM | Disk. NUMBER 2. Multicam Stream; ATEM | mimoLive | RTMP and NUMBER 3. Multicam Zoom; ATEM | mimoLive | Zoom. I wonder if what you're finding, BLive Media, is to do with Zoom being able to find the virtual camera, rather than whether it is working. While I think your issue may have a different source to mine, your post has helped me focus down on the diagnostics. Thanks. Can anyone confirm that they are using Ecamm with Zoom V5?

@@interactivevirtualtours yes I am using Ecamm with Zoom V5 and it works perfectly. Reason I asked about Chrome is because when I open the Zoom App, it automatically opens Chrome for me 1st and then reverts back to the App. Not sure why, but that is how it seems to work consistently. (Bridgetti)

For sure, glad it's helpful! To answer your question - NOPE! :) You can do that free. So all Zoom is doing is looking for a camera and it lists any cameras it sees. Ecamm is sending out a "Virtual Camera" which is a Pro feature on Ecamm I believe, but it's sending your entire production OUT to be seen as a single camera source.

@@LiveStreamingPros so I tried it earlier. You can use a virtual camera, but it's a bit clunky. You first need to select a different camera, save the setting. Go back in and then choose your vitual camera and hey presto, it works! So I screen shared it in Streamyard and shared the sound and it worked. I do not recommend the route of doing this natively yet on a FB Live which I did to my profile. That needs some work. The fact that you can actually do it is great, but I'd still recommend 3rd party software streaming. What excites me though is having people call in on a phone in Messenger Rooms. Can't wait to try that out, cant see that active yet for me.
