Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddharth Shankar Meena took cognizance of the matter and sent the SHO to police lines while ordering a probe into the case by the Bangarmau circle officer (CO).
An Uttar Pradesh police officer was sent to police lines after a video of his children showing off bundles of currency notes surfaced on the internet. In the video, the two children of Behta Mujawar police station (Unnao) SHO Ramesh Chandra Sahani, were seen sitting on a bed with 27 bundles of Rs 500 currency notes. Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddharth Shankar Meena took cognizance of the matter and sent the SHO to police lines while ordering a probe into the case by the Bangarmau circle officer (CO), reported news agency PTI.
The photo, which is now making rounds on social media, shows the police officer's wife and two children sitting on a bed with a massive pile of cash worth over Rs 13 lakhs. CO Pankaj Singh in a viral social media post said that the Sahani family members were seen sitting with bundles of Rs 500 currency notes. He added that a probe into the matter is underway.
